Andrea’s Story

Andrea Kaiser is a dedicated community leader with deep roots in the Niagara Region. As an active member of her community she is a working mother of two, a small business owner, an instructor at Niagara College and the Director of Marketing and Tourism at a renowned local winery.

Andrea is the proud daughter of Karl and Silvia Kaiser, immigrants of Austrian and Italian decent. Andrea grew up learning and appreciating hard work as she watched her father build a life for them in Niagara as co-founder and winemaker of Inniskillin Wines. It is through his example that she learned the importance of an entrepreneurial spirit. It was both of her parents who taught her to care for neighbours and give back to her community.

Andrea is passionate about Niagara and has always worked to strengthen her community. While she never had political aspirations, Andrea was honoured when her community asked her to step up and serve.

For over a decade, from 2003 to 2014, Andrea was a strong, experienced voice on municipal council. As a leader in the local tourism and wine industry, Andrea is a champion for economic development and community excellence and has a deep understanding of vital local economic drivers like tourism and agriculture.

Andrea has now decided to return to politics because she believes that in an uncertain world, we need bold and compassionate leaders who are willing to take a principled stand on the matters that mean the most to Canadians.

Andrea knows that Canada and the Niagara region are facing real challenges from climate change. She is inspired by her own daughter’s passion and drive to combat climate change and protect our environment.

As a Liberal candidate, Andrea believes we can take real, meaningful action to combat climate change, while making life more affordable and creating good, well-paying jobs to support the middle class and those working hard to join it.

She believes in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s positive vision for Canada and the investments being made in families, seniors, youth and the environment. After spending twenty years of her life raising her children, Andrea is eager to spend the next chapter of her life working to build a stronger Canada to leave them.

Andrea will be a strong voice for the people of Niagara in Parliament, one that will speak passionately to the needs of her constituents. Her proven record of success in the private and public sector will allow her to be a key part of the Liberal team and she is committed to working to strengthen the middle class, grow the economy, and fight climate change.
