Our vision is to make the Atlantic Emergency Services Games a fun and competitive sporting and social event that brings emergency services personnel from all disciplines and jurisdictions together in support of one another. The AESG is committed to provide an all-inclusive sporting and social event for all of its competitors and their families, volunteers and officials, and spectators; regardless
of their sex, age, or ethnicity. The community, local businesses, and general public are invited to take part and support the event as volunteers and spectators. The values of the AESG are as follows:
• To organize and promote athletic events, games and recreation for professionals and volunteers engaged in emergency services, as defined by the Terms of Reference, to be held in Saint John, New Brunswick and various other locations in the Atlantic Provinces;
• To provide the opportunity for professionals and volunteers engaged in emergency services to participate in friendly and competitive activities that promote the physical and mental wellbeing for responders;
• To provide the opportunity to build cohesiveness and solidify relationships amongst public safety and emergency personnel;
• To provide the opportunity to develop and foster a greater relationship with the community, its citizens and emergency services personnel. The 2017 Games will take place in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada – the greatest city on the Bay! These games aren’t all about rivalries and fierce competition. The social side of the games, centred around the Saint John Police Call Box Lounge in uptown Saint John, is a pivotal aspect of the participants’ experience. Here it’s all about having fun, making new friends, cementing friendships made at previous games and developing the camaraderie between professionals who work with a common purpose.
