St. Pierre-Jolys investigating gas and dash, followed by a dine and dash

On July 7, 2026, at 9:18 am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a theft of gas at a business on Main Street in Landmark.

At 8:55 am, a green 1991 Chevrolet pick-up truck and a white 2013 F250 attended the gas station and drove off without paying for their fuel. The green pickup truck was hauling a stolen enclosed trailer, stolen from Winkler the previous night.

At 9:15 am, the same trucks and the same suspects attended a restaurant on Lagimodiere Avenue in Lorette. They are observed sitting at a table and leaving without paying for their food and drinks. On their way out, the proceeded to steal an e-bike.

Both male suspects have not been identified and they were both driving stolen vehicles reported stolen from the RM of Rhineland and Winkler.

A reminder to motorists to please drive with caution as the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP Detachment has responded to two serious collisions over the past 8 hours.

Last night, at 11:40 pm, officers responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 59 at Crown Valley Road.

The only occupant of the vehicle, a 19-year-old male from La Broquerie, was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

An impaired driving investigation is currently ongoing.

At 6:55 am this morning, a two-vehicle collision was reported on Highway 52, just east of Highway 59.

Investigators have determined that a small vehicle, travelling westbound, was reported to be driving erratically on Hwy 52 before it collided with a semi-trailer near the intersection of Highway 59.

The 22-year-old male driver, from the RM of Ritchot, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

These collisions remain under investigation.

St. Pierre-Jolys and Niverville detachments had 49 calls for service over the weekend, including:
• 12 traffic-related calls;
• 4 impaired-related calls, one of which resulted in an immediate roadside suspension;
• 1 fatal collision call;
• 6 provincial act calls;
• 4 property-related calls;
• 3 Criminal Code-related offences;
• 2 violent crimes against a person; and
• 17 miscellaneous calls (such as suspicious persons/vehicles, false alarms, etc.).

On June 28, at approximately 6:45 a.m., St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of an SUV that had hit the ditch and flipped while travelling on Highway 405 near Lorette.

The collision is believed to have occurred sometime overnight and went unnoticed until daylight.

Officers responded to the scene and found the vehicle had been severely damaged. After a search of the area for the driver, he was found inside the vehicle, concealed by the extent of the damage to the vehicle.

The victim, a 17-year-old male from Dufresne, had died at the scene.

RCMP are investigating.

She is known to frequent Grunthal.

COX, 67, is wanted on 4 unendorsed warrants for Allegation of Non-Compliance with a Conditional Sentence Order.

She is known to frequent the Grunthal and RM of Ste Anne areas.
COX is about 5’2”, 141 lbs, with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on COX’s whereabouts is asked to call Steinbach RCMP at 204-326-1234.

St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP arrest wanted male south of Lorette

On December 30, 2025, the St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to an unknown situation on Road 47N, in the RM of Tache.

Officers arrived and located a 24-year-old female, from Winnipeg, hiding in the snow and not dressed for the weather. The female was transported to hospital as a precaution. Officers learned that the victim had been assaulted.

St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP have made many attempts to locate the suspect and on January 2, 2026, an arrest warrant for assault was obtained for the arrest of John Meadows, a 28-year-old male, from the RM of Tache.

On June 17, after many months of looking for him, an entry warrant was obtained for a residence located on Road 47N, in the RM of Tache. He was also wanted on three arrest warrants for offences including Assault causing bodily harm, Trespass at night, Obstruction of justice, Operate motor vehicle while prohibited and Fail to attend court.

With the assistance of the Manitoba RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services, the entry warrant was executed and John Meadows was arrested without incident. He was remanded into custody.

A little rain couldn't dampen our community spirit!

Despite the wet weather, the turnout at this year’s Niverville Fair was incredible! From the top-notch live music to the amazing vendors from near and far, the energy was unmatched.

We were thrilled to participate in the parade and see so many smiling faces lining the streets. It was a beautiful showcase of emergency services and local businesses coming together to support this wonderful community.

Did you catch our photo op? We loved meeting everyone who stopped by our cruiser posted near the local Co-op! Seeing families snap photos and chat with our members was a true highlight of the weekend.

St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP respond to fatal two-vehicle collision

On June 17, 2026, at 12:21 am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 59, near Prefontaine Road in the RM of Tache.

A vehicle with two occupants was travelling north on Highway 59 when it crossed into the path of a semi-truck travelling south. The vehicle collided with the semi-truck pushing both vehicles into the ditch.

Police arrived shortly after the Fire department and Emergency Medical Services. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old male from Ontario, was pronounced deceased on scene. The 13-year-old male passenger from Steinbach was transported by STARS to a Winnipeg hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

As for the driver of the semi-truck, a 45-year-old male from Alberta, he was not injured.

St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP, along with the Manitoba RCMP Traffic services, continue to investigate.
