🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

The Sunshine Coast Resource Centre has received funding through the District of Sechelt’s Community Investment Program to launch our new Community Navigation Pop-Up Clinics! 💙

These free drop-in clinics will bring support directly into community spaces across the Coast, helping residents access:
🏠 Housing & income supports
📝 Benefit applications
💻 Digital access & online services
🌍 Newcomer resources
🤝 Community connections & more

This funding helps reduce barriers like transportation, complicated paperwork, and digital-first systems.

Our Legal Aid Community Partner Program helps you understand your legal options and connect with free legal supports. From Legal Aid applications to referrals and virtual appointment support, our Intake Coordinator is here to help make the process less overwhelming.

We’re excited to bring our Caregivers on the Coast Support Group to Pender Harbour for the first time. Join us every two months for a welcoming, facilitated space to connect with other caregivers, share experiences, ask questions, and access support and resources. 💙💬

The BC Seniors Advocate listens to older adults across BC and reports on gaps in services to highlight the real challenges seniors face. While they don’t provide direct supports, their work helps identify what needs to change so seniors can age safely and independently.

The Resource Centre is growing — and so is our vision for how we support the Sunshine Coast.

More and more community members are turning to us for connection, navigation, and advocacy. As needs continue to shift, we’re strengthening our foundation and preparing for an exciting evolution in how we show up for the Coast.

📣 We’re hiring a Finance Administrator / Bookkeeper!

📍 Hybrid Role | Sechelt
⏰ 12–15 hrs/week
💼 $42.25–$47.50/hr

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional to support payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, grant tracking, and day-to-day bookkeeping operations. This position requires at least one in-office day per week.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• Full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll experience
• Strong attention to detail and digital filing skills
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
• Non-profit or fund accounting experience (an asset)

✨ Includes prorated vacation and wellness days.
