Did you know that the Notch Hill Hall, located at 1639 Notch Hill Rd., is one of the oldest community halls in the Shuswap—dating all the way back to 1910? This hall has been run by a community association ever since it was built on land donated by local farmers, the Sjodin family.
What makes it truly special isn't just the age, it's the paper trail.
The community association has kept near-complete meeting minutes for over a century, recording everything from crop prices to who owed 50¢ for hall rental. This makes it an absolute treasure trove of local history that helps tell the story of one of the Shuswap's oldest communities.
