Stonewall RCMP arrest suspect involved in a break and enter in progress

On June 4, 2026, at 2:48 am, Stonewall RCMP received a report of a multiple hit alarm at a business located in the 9500 block on Highway 7, in the RM of Rockwood.

Upon arrival at 3:15 am, officers observed a pickup truck idling and hooked up to a trailer near the back entrance to a shop. Officers approached the back door and noticed that it had been forced open. The lights were off but officers could hear someone rummaging inside. They then heard an engine starting.

Officers immediately announced themselves and instructed whoever was inside to come out. The suspect then walked out with his hands in the air, wearing a facemask up to his cheek bones, a hat with a head lamp and dark clothing. He was arrested without incident. Officers then cleared the building and determined he was alone, he had started a front-end loader inside the shop and was preparing to load it up on the trailer.

The truck idling outside was determined to have been stolen from and address located in the RM of St Andrews on June 1, 2026. Officers also recovered the hooked-up trailer and multiple power-tools inside the stolen truck that belong to the business.

Christopher Bouskill, a 39-year-old from the RM of Rockwood, has been remanded into custody for the following offences:

• Break and enter;
• Disguise with intent;
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – motor vehicle;
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 2 and;
• Fail to comply with release order x 3.

While patrolling Roblin Blvd in Headingley, around noon yesterday, an officer’s Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) flagged a passing car for a driver’s license suspension.

Once stopped, the officer noticed the suspended driver was showing signs of impairment and an oral drug test was administered. The sample tested positive for THC and the driver admitted to using cannabis around 8am.

43-year-old received $988 in fines, plus his vehicle was seized, towed and impounded.

RCMP traffic services seize drugs and execute two arrest warrants in one vehicle stop

On May 17, 2026, at 7:35 pm, Manitoba RCMP traffic services conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Highway 6, near Lake Francis, in the RM of Woodlands.

The driver, a 50-year-old male, and the passenger, a 47-year-old female, both from Peguis First Nation, each had an outstanding warrant out for their arrest for Robbery.

Upon searching the driver, officers found on his person a small quantity of drugs, believed to be fentanyl.

The driver has been charged for Possession of a controlled substance and served with a Provincial offence Notice for speeding.

They were both released on a future court date.

Stonewall RCMP pulls over driver impaired by drugs

On May 8, 2026, at 5:49 p.m., a Stonewall RCMP officer was travelling north on Perimeter Highway and observed a vehicle travelling south at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was swerving in and out of traffic, passing every vehicle in its way.

The vehicle was travelling at 155 km/h in an 80 km/h speed zone near the intersection with Highway 6. Police immediately turned around and intercepted the vehicle.

The driver admitted to consuming drugs and was read the Approved Drug Screening Equipment (ADSE) demand. Police searched the driver for their safety and found an item in his pant pocket that is used to consume drugs.

The driver, a 32-year-old male from the RM of Headingley, tested positive for co***ne.

His drivers’ licence was suspended for 72 hours and he was served with a serious offence notice.

He was also fined for speeding ($1,032), unlawful transportation of liquor in a motor vehicle ($237) and unlawful transportation of cannabis in or on vehicle ($237).

Stonewall RCMP make arrest after suspect steals a 5-ton truck and injures an officer

On May 7, 2026, at 9:35 am, Stonewall RCMP were notified that a 5-ton truck had just been stolen from a business located on Paramount Road in Winnipeg. The truck was seen travelling on the West Perimeter Highway, travelling southbound.

Officers responded immediately and observed the stolen vehicle travelling south. Officers turned around and attempted a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle.

The stolen vehicle eventually came to a stop near the intersection with Roblin Boulevard where officers engaged with the driver. Suddenly, the truck started moving again and struck an officer while causing damages to a parked police car. Other officers on scene provided first aid to the injured officer while waiting for Emergency Medical Services.

The truck fled the scene, but officers were able to follow it as it approached the community of Oak Bluff.

Officers attempted to use a spike belt, but the driver abruptly turned to avoid the spike belt and drove through the ditch onto the service road. Once at the intersection of Highway 2 and Macdonald Road, the stolen truck collided with a short bus. There were no students inside and no injuries were reported.

The driver once again fled the scene in the 5-ton truck and Police lost sight it.

Shortly after, RCMP received a report of a suspicious person walking in a field at the intersection of Road 50 North-East and Macdonald Road, just southwest of Oak Bluff in the RM of Macdonald.

At approximately 11:15 am, officers located the suspicious person, who was determined to be the driver of the stolen 5-ton truck, and she was arrested without incident. The stolen truck was later recovered behind a shop on a nearby property off Macdonald Road.

Tara Kaminski, a 42-year-old female from Winnipeg, has been charged and remanded into custody for:

• Assault on police officer with a weapon causing bodily harm
• Operation while impaired by drugs causing bodily harm
• Refusal to comply with a demand
• Theft of motor vehicle over $5000
• Mischief
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Flight from Police
• Resist peace officer
• Operation of motor vehicle while prohibited

The injured officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering at home.

Headingley RCMP respond to a head-on collision on Highway 3

On May 1, 2026, at 9:30 p.m., Headingley RCMP responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 3, just south of Sanford.

Headingley RCMP, fire and emergency medical services attended immediately. They learned that a vehicle travelling north on Highway 3 had swerved all over the road before colliding head-on with a southbound vehicle.

In total, five people were injured as a result of the collision.

The 52-year-old male driver of the southbound vehicle was treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries. His two 14-year-old daughters, who were passengers in the vehicle, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They remain in hospital.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver, a 25-year-old male from St-Adolphe, and the passenger, a 19-year-old male, remain in critical condition.

Headingley RCMP, along with a forensic collision reconstructionist and criminal collision investigation team from RCMP Traffic Services, continue to investigate.

Erratic driver located, charged for impaired driving

On April 18, 2026, at 3:53 pm, Manitoba RCMP Traffic Services responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 6, in the RM of Coldwell. At the time, three units were already on Highway 6 conducting traffic enforcement and came across the suspect vehicle.

The vehicle was pulled over on Highway 6 in the RM of Rosser and had three intoxicated occupants. They were travelling south to Winnipeg for an event and were drinking on their way there.
The driver, a 27-year-old female from Grand Rapids, was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples which were 2.5 times over the legal limit.

She has been charged with impaired driving over 80 mg%, the vehicle was impounded, her driver’s licence was suspended, and she was served with three provincial offence notices for:

• Driving while disqualified - $672 fine
• Driving carelessly - $672 fine
• Carrying liquor in a vehicle - $237

The passengers, a 29-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, also from Grand Rapids, were released without charges.

The RCMP would like to remind people to report all suspicious and dangerous driving as they are actioned and taken seriously.
