🏒 Proud to welcome the Stoney Creek Girls Hockey Association to Queen’s Park today!

April was a remarkable month for these young athletes. On April 12th, the U18AA team won the Ontario Women's Hockey Association provincial championships - and then went to New Brunswick to compete for the Esso Cup on the national stage, securing a hard fought silver medal on April 25th!

Congratulations, Sabres! Hamilton and Ontario are proud of you.

Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms here in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek and across Ontario! 🌸💐

🗣️ Thank you, to the Toronto Region Board of Trade for inviting Secretary Adam van Koeverden and me for a fireside chat with Courtney Glen to talk about the impact that the FIFA World Cup is going to have for Toronto’s business community, as well as the benefits of sport hosting for Ontario’s and Canada’s economy.

It’s going to be an unforgettable summer of sport in our province!

🏒⛷️ Big wins for sport tourism in Northern Ontario.

TIAO welcomes the Ontario government’s investment of over $3 million in sport and recreation infrastructure in Sault Ste. Marie — including $1.3 million to support the hosting of the 2028 Ontario Winter Games and $2 million through the NOHFC to redevelop the John Rhodes Community Centre.

As outlined in Ontario’s Forward Motion Strategy, investments in sport hosting and infrastructure help drive tourism growth, attract major events, and generate economic impact for local businesses and communities across the province.

From tournaments and competitions to visitor spending and community pride, investments like these help strengthen Ontario’s competitiveness as a destination for sport tourism and major events.

This is an incredible opportunity for the region, bringing lasting benefits and welcoming visitors from across Ontario to experience everything the Sault has to offer.

The Northern Super League are in their second season. The Ottawa Charge are chasing the Walter Cup. The WNBA's Toronto Tempo tips off on Friday. Professional women's sport is on the rise in Ontario — and the pathway to the top starts at the grassroots level.

We’re proud to support Canadian Women & Sport / Femmes et sport au Canada’s The Next Play program to expand affordable and inclusive opportunities for girls across the province, and build a foundation that supports the next generation of athletes.

🏓 The BGC Hamilton-Halton is an incredible community partner, and we’re proud to support them.

Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, our government invested over $33,000 toward gymnasium upgrades, ensuring kids in Hamilton have a safe, welcoming space to stay active and healthy. Combined with our support through Ontario’s After School Program, we’re making sure the BGC can keep doing what they do best.
