Have you checked out “To Thine Own Self” - Stratford Trashion Week edition yet?! Presented by this fashion and audio exhibit gives a closer look at gender inclusivity, individually and the history of drag on the stage and on our runway!

This exhibit is an extension of the successful exhibit from earlier this year that showcased select costumes and performances from the Stratford Festival that pushed the boundaries of traditional gender casting, cross-dressing and non-traditional presentations of gender that made Canadian theatre history.

Now featuring designs by Brenda Storey .storey.studio, Bobby Raffin , Claire Scott , Kylie Wasser , Laura Jarvis and outfits styled by Joan Chapple and Pamela Coneybeare .sister.vintage

This is so great! 😃 thanks for including us and these fabulous designers in this exciting exhibit!

🌺 Three Pieces by Bobby Raffin Closed the Week in Coastal Colour 🌺

What a finale! Saturday night at Stratford Trashion Week 2025 wrapped with bold textures, tropical energy, and an unforgettable runway from .ca by featured designer Bobby Raffin.

A past Trashion Week award-winner, returned this year with a full collection—and owned the moment. His one-of-a-kind pieces, made from reclaimed fabrics and free-motion embroidery, brought together festival fashion with a coastal twist.

♻️ Rooted in repurposing, Three Pieces transforms discarded materials into wearable statements—infused with personality, purpose, and a spirit of reinvention.

Based in Guelph, Bobby also introduced repurposed jewelry to complete the vibe—playful, intentional, and totally unique.

🌟 Saturday Vintage & Preloved Presentation Recap 🌟

To close out Stratford Trashion Week 2025, we started out by celebrating all things vintage, preloved, and purpose-driven with our Vintage & Preloved Presentation. The runway featured two incredible creatives who also brought their artistry to the Trashion and ReFashion Artists Showcase: Joanie Chapple of Collective District and Larissa Hikel of Dreams Dustpan.

👗 Collective District is a fresh new charity shop concept with a beautifully curated edge. Joanie has a great collection of pre-loved clothing and also designs her own line of jewelry pieces . With her collection she also hosts a rotating selection of work by other local artists and makers. You can explore her collection and the wider community of creatives through bi-weekly pop-ups at . It’s more than shopping—it’s an experience in conscious, collaborative fashion. Follow and for more details.

🌈 Dreams Dustpan lit up the runway with vintage pieces that felt both timeless and fresh. Larissa’s sharp eye for detail and storytelling through clothing makes every outfit a statement. Catch her curated collections online through her Etsy shop, where the magic continues or follow

🎥 A big shoutout to our media and .n.studios for capturing these moments—the vibe, the designs, the people, and the energy.

Together, and .hikel reminded us that sustainable fashion can be both expressive and accessible—and that preloved doesn’t mean less loved.

✨ Media Team Spotlight: Beatrice McBoyle ✨

Stratford Trashion Week isn’t just about the runway—it’s about the people behind the scenes who help bring every look, moment, and story to life.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on 🎥 Beatrice, one of our youngest and brightest media team members: a local Stratford high school student who joined us for STW 2025 and brought fresh perspective, sharp instincts, and artistic drive to the lens.

Currently finishing up her final year of high school 🎓 and preparing to head into post-secondary studies in the arts this fall 🎨, Beatrice is already showing up as a powerful storyteller through visual media. Her work during Trashion Week captured the energy ⚡ of the event with a raw and authentic lens—highlighting the emotion, detail, and creativity of our designers, models, and audience alike.

This rising talent is exactly what Trashion Week is all about: elevating local voices 🗣️, supporting young artists 🌱, and creating opportunities for emerging talent to grow, share, and shine ✨.

Let’s give her a warm sendoff into her next chapter in the arts—and celebrate the beginning of what’s sure to be an inspiring creative journey 🚀.

🎉 Saturday’s Trashion Runway Recap 🎉

As we start to wrap up our Stratford Trashion Week 2025 recap, take a journey through the inspiring Trashion Artist Showcase, which gave this year’s event a vibrant closing that brought creativity, community, and purpose to the runway. ♻️✨

This showcase featured bold, one-of-a-kind designs made from unexpected, discarded materials—tealight candle holders from , feed and firewood bags, Miss Vickie’s chip bags, and even a collection of paper from kids’ schoolwork. Each piece told a story of transformation, challenging conventional ideas of fashion and sparking conversation around sustainability and waste.

Thanks to these incredible images captured by .n.studios and so we’re able to relive the energy, imagination, and heart of Saturday night.

We’re proud to celebrate this inspiring community of artists and changemakers. 💫
