Little Giants Indoor Play Centre is an indoor playground and community meeting place for children between the ages of 0-6 years old and their parents and/or caregiv
ers. Little Giants Indoor Play Centre provides a safe space where children and adults can connect, play, learn and support one another while addressing the need for cleanliness and, most importantly, offering an all-inclusive environment where children of all abilities can explore together without prejudice. The seasons and weather in Thunder Bay can affect the opportunities for quality play which is so important to the developing minds and bodies of babies and children. Little Giants Indoor Play Centre will provide a place for parents to take their children during the cold weather months and during the summer when temperatures can make outdoor play uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. In addition to the open-concept play area, Little Giants Indoor Play Centre has future plans to create a multi-sensory environment room for visitors with special needs and/or challenging conditions. The room will incorporate a specialized selection of sensory equipment and materials to provide the opportunity to exercise choice through action. The blend of sights, sounds, textures, aromas, and motion will provide stimulation of the primary sensory systems. Equally important, Little Giants Indoor Play Centre has a “Parent’s Lounge” area with comfortable seating, wireless internet access, and a resource area with magazines and books. This area will be a place where parents/caregivers can relax and socialize with one another while supervising their children. Little Giants Indoor Play Centre will also be available to book for private functions such as:
• Birthday parties
• Children’s holiday parties such as Christmas, Hallowe’en, Easter, etc.
• Kindergarten graduation parties
• Baby showers, etc.
