Running for the position of Councillor at Large has been exciting, fun and challenging. It has helped me realize that I really do love this city!
Thanks to family, friends, donors, supporters and voters.
Now all that is left is dealing with the signs! The accounting can wait till next week. Any last minute donations are needed and would be much appreciated

What an excellent last full day of campaigning! Well over 1000 leaflets dropped, hundreds of doors knocked and signs going up right until the last minute. Thank you so much to all who helped out over the last two months, it really has been humbling to receive such generous donations of time and talent and i am overwhelmed with gratitude. Nothing left to do but vote!

It has been my great pleasure to meet with friends, colleauges, and many new connections in Thunder Bay over the course of this election. Cities are made up of communities, and there are countless vibrant communities in Thunder Bay that make up our wider community. It is my hope to work to bring these groups together at City Hall, to build a Thunder Bay that works... Together! This Monday, October 22nd, Vote Margaret Wanlin for Councillor at Large.

Wow! This election campaign has been a whirlwind. Door knocking, events, answering individual voters questions, completing questionnaires. Time flies! Signs, literature and advertising are all expensive. There is portion that falls to me, but there are limits on contributions from a candidate and their family. Which is a good thing because we don't want people "buying" elections. So ... I need your help! Contributions small and large would be much appreciated. Thanks Reg Jones for your Letter to the Editor in today's CJ. Reg said he is looking for mayoral and at-large candidates that have a track record of vision, action and teamwork.
I'm reminded of "Fast Forward Thunder Bay", a community economic development strategy that I was involved with in 2000 when community groups, citizens and the city came together to set direction and develop alignment around a shared sense of purpose.
Working together for the greater good in a future facing direction is what we need now.

It was a pleasure to sit down with Matt Vis from tbnewswatch.com to talk about why I chose to run in this election. As I told Matt, I believe that Thunder Bay is a great place, but also that it could be better!

At-large hopeful says she's joined the race because she thinks Thunder Bay is great -- but could do much better.
