Not sure what a caftan is?
A caftan (or kaftan) is a long, loose, and flowing robe or tunic. It typically features wide sleeves and reaches down to the ankles. Popularized in Western fashion during the mid-20th century as relaxed, elegant daywear.
Caftans were worn by Mrs Roper on Three's Company because that lady knew a thing or two about being comfortable but stylish.
