Success is biting off more than you can chew and learning how to chew it!

What an incredible day yesterday was! It marked the 12th anniversary of Bright Beginnings, our Open House for 96 new families who will be joining my new facility next week, and the exciting news that I received our license—all on the same day.

Twelve years ago, I never would have imagined being where I am today. Thanks to the unwavering support of my family, staff, and the Tiverton and surrounding communities, this milestone has become a reality.

The past few months have been incredibly challenging, with delays involving ministries, permits, unexpected setbacks—including a woodpecker that damaged the hydro pole needed for our new service connection—and costs that exceeded the budget. Despite it all, I made it. My license is secured, and my team and I are ready to welcome 96 children into the new facility next week, while continuing to serve 30 school-age children before and after school who will use our current building each day.

This achievement is about more than just me—it’s a meaningful step forward for our growing community. Access to high-quality licensed child care is limited in our area, and this expansion will give more children the strong start they deserve in their early years.

Thank you to everyone who believed in me throughout this journey. Your encouragement, support, and confidence in me helped me push forward during the most challenging moments, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.

📚 Books, books, and more books!! 📚

As you may be aware we (Bright Beginnings Child Care) are expanding and we would love your support in expanding our classroom libraries!

It is soo incredibly important for all developing children to be exposed to books and as educators we LOVE to read and explore books with children!!

📋✨We have put together a wish list of some books we would love to have in our 7 new classrooms!! We strive to have a minimum of two books per child in each classroom every day! Each classroom will require 20-50books to be available every day!

We would absolutely love your support in purchasing new books for the centre! Please feel free to share your favourite books with us as well!

If you wish to make a cash donation towards books please reach out to me or if you have any other question I’d be happy to help!
