Hi Guys,

Meet Michael from Macon, Georgia.

Mike picked me up in his Subaru Forester Crosstek at the Atlanta airport.

He is a full time Uber driver who also happens to have a commercial pilot license, also happen to be a paralegal... and learning how to code in Python. Just Wow!!

After graduation, he got lucky to get his first job as paralegal in the absolutely gorgeous Lake Tahoe area in California. Lived there for about 2 years but his love for Atlanta brought him back.

He is excited about the tech scene in Atlanta and wants to be in his job which is right at the intersection of hardware and software - Internet of things, Drone technology etc. excites him the most.

When I told him about Tinyubertales, he said - Simple ideas make money man! (I wish)

We departed after the usual selfie ceremony and smiles on our faces :)

Meet Simo -

A young chap from Marrakech, Morocco who now calls United States his home.

Came to the country 3 yrs ago, lived in North Carolina for 2 yrs before moving to Chicago, IL.

Drives Uber full time to survive and pay tuition. He is studying criminal justice and wants to become a Cop. Can be found on a Soccer field when not driving or studying.

He is in love with the Windy City and says - except for traffic, it's all good!!

There are some people in this world who bring joy to you with their smiles and Simo is one of them... just look at the picture :)

Meet Saeed -

Born in Tonekabon, a city in Northern part of Iran near Caspian Sea.... and now lives in Richmond Hill, Ontario with his wife and daughter.

Came to this great country primarily to give his daughter access to better education as she wants to become a Research Scientist.

He still runs his Medical laboratory in Iran and travels back and forth quite a lot. All his relatives and ties are back home, so still finding it difficult to adjust in Canada. His wife and daughter love Canada though :)

Volleyball is what he likes to play.
He and his wife are fans of Bollywood. Love Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bacchan and Shahrukh Khan.

He will make up his mind in coming 3 months whether to stay in Canada or not. If he stays, he will update his medical license so he can work here.

In his own words - Dictatorship is not good for any country and this is Iran's problem. He thinks Iran needs a person like Gandhi.

He dropped me home safely and we departed with smiles on our face!

Meet Gurjot -

Picked me up from Toronto Pearson airport in his clean Honda Accord.

Born in India and came to Canada for studies and graduated from Cambrian College in Sudbury, ON.

Sudbury winters were tough, and he had to walk fair distances in deep snow at times. His experiences during college days taught him a lot!

He lives in Mississauga, ON with his friends. Currently holds a truck driver's license and plans to start a new job very soon.

Once he gets his permanent residency, he desires to serve this great country by going into Police services.

Only 22 yrs old and wants to fully enjoy his life before getting into a commited relationship.

Loves watching Cricket and partying with friends. Recommended a couple of clubs to me.... but I guess I am too old for this :)

He dropped me home safely and I wished him Good Luck for his future before departing.

Meet Rasool -

Born in Iraq and living in Chicago for 15+ years. He lives with his wife and 2 children. Loves classical music and spending time with family. According to him Istanbul, Turkey is a must visit place!

He came to pick me up from Chicago O'hare airport in his Toyota 4runner.

During Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq, he moved to Jordan for work but couldn't come back home because he gave a statement in one of the local newspapers in Jordan on Saddam's draconian approach.

United Nations helped him come to the United States on a refugee status as he couldn't go back to Iran and his visa in Jordan expired.

He worked for his cousin brother's parking garage business but his brother moved to Caifornia earlier this year... which made Rasool look for new opportunities.

Flexibility is what he likes most being an Uber driver. He is looking for Technician (AC, Heater, Machines etc) jobs in Chicago at the moment.

In his own words -

1. There are a lot of barriers for immigrants to find good jobs in this part of the world. It is improving but it is still tough.
2. The world has more good people than bad.
3. United States of America is a great country.

Meet Jackson -

He came to pick me up in his Kia Sorento and dropped me to Toronto Pearson airport.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria and calls Canada his home since last 18 years. Currently living in Brampton, ON with his wife and 3 children and drives Uber part time.

He loves this beautiful country and thinks it is one of the most peaceful countries in the world.

He plans to do a Technology Consulting services business in Nigeria and is looking to find a local partner in Nigeria, who can help build and scale that business. He thinks Africa is a great consumer business market.

He was an aviation pilot earlier in his career but had to give up flying coz of an illness, which he is still fighting.

In his own words - Life throws curve balls at you and you need to accept it.... but the important thing is to keep fighting and keep moving!

Let me know if you're in Nigeria and willing to partner with him to build his Technology business.
