This year’s Easter has been awesome as we finished off with a bang! (Literally)

Last week, Ms. Mandy smashed a bunch of crayons on the floor but what does that have to do with Easter?

The kids learned the ultimate truth: we are like crayons. Broken because of our sin and there’s nothing we can do by ourselves to repair this ruined relationship with God.

But Jesus died on the cross for us and is alive! What does that mean for us? The crayon can’t be fixed back to its original shape just like how we can’t just go back to our sinful ways. Because of Jesus, we are created new just like our beautiful new creations we made with the broken crayons!

🐣 yesterday in CPF Kids, we got our hands dirty for Holy Week! We used play dough to walk through the story of Holy Week, then dove into the best news ever: Jesus is alive!
And then came the Easter egg. We opened it up and found… nothing. Because the tomb is empty. Because Jesus is alive. 🙌
It’s a truth simple enough to hold in little hands — and big enough to change everything.

Our kids learned that at the cross, Jesus took all our sin on himself so that nothing would stand between us and God anymore. He didn’t have to. He chose to. That’s how much he loves us. 🙌

We’re two weeks into our Creation to Easter series and it’s been so good! 🌱
Week 1 we started at the very beginning — God’s creation. A perfect world, made with purpose and love.
Week 2 we talked about something real — sin, and how it broke what God made. But the truth our kids carried home? God never stopped loving us. He never gave up on us. Not for a single moment. 💛
We’re on our way to Easter and we can’t wait to see where this story leads. See you next week, CPF Kids families! 🐣

We’re starting a new lesson series exploring some of Jesus’ amazing miracles!

This week, our kids flipped to Mark 4:35-41 to learn about the mighty power Jesus has not only to calm the storm, but also over all of creation! The kids made their own personal storm globe as a reminder that Jesus has power in any season they experience in life.

It was snowing, but church didn’t close! ❄️ We loved seeing some new family and friends join us today.

Our kids were in the sanctuary working on their crafts with their parents, and it honestly made the whole place feel so warm and cozy.

The drive wasn’t easy, but worshiping together on a snowy day made it so worth it. 🤍
