Last Sunday our CPF Kids looked back at all the “I am” statements we’ve learned this summer. Bread, light, gate, shepherd, way, vine. Jesus takes care of us in so many ways.
Then we got to the biggest one of all. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.”
We heard about His friend Lazarus, who died. Jesus looked at Martha and asked her, “Do you believe this?” Then He called Lazarus out of the grave and he walked out alive.
At the tie-dye station the kids scrunched up plain white cloth and covered it up. It looked crumpled and messy. We waited. Then we opened it and colour was everywhere. Plain became beautiful. Jesus makes dead things alive.
Same question Jesus asked Martha, we asked our kids today. Do you believe this?

Happy Summer! Last week our kids had fun in the sun with our water play day! We learned that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We had water relays, the kids threw water balloons at Ms Mandy and Ms Ruth whenever they told a lie about Jesus, and played with giant bubbles!

See you this Sunday where we learn more about Jesus!

“I AM the true vine”

Our kids learned this truth with a hands-on lesson where we made scientific observations about grape vines! We learned that when grapes are far away from the vine, they begin to turn sour or wrinkly but when attached, grapes can stay healthy! In the same way, when we are close to Jesus who is the True Vine, we are able to grow closer to Him.

We ended off our lesson by making grape shaved ice 🍧 🍇🍧

Last Sunday, our kids learned about the next “I AM”…the Good Shepard! Our little sheep went on an outdoor picnic where they learned who the Good Shepard is and what it means to follow Him. We ended the lesson off by making cotton candy sheep as a yummy reminder!

Jesus said “I am the gate” — and in Bible times, that meant the shepherd laid his own body across the opening of the sheep pen at night. Nothing could get to the sheep without going through him first.

Last Sunday at CPF Kids we built Lego sheep pens, placed our sheep inside, and talked about what it means that Jesus puts himself between us and everything that wants to harm us.

Safe on the inside. Good things waiting.

That’s the gate. That’s Jesus. 🐑

This past Sunday, our CPF Kids continued our “Jesus Said, ‘I Am’” series by learning about Jesus’ declaration, “I am the Light of the World”. Through an interactive, colourful flashlight craft, the children discovered that just as light helps us see in the dark, Jesus guides us and shows us the way to live. We wrapped up by learning that we can confidently follow Jesus and share His light with others.

Week 1: “I AM the Bread of Life”

Last Sunday we began our summer program learning about Jesus’ “I AM” statements. Our first lesson was “I am the Bread of Life” from John 6:35.
The children started by making dough together, then spent time in worship, Bible learning, verse memorization, and a short lesson video. They also added to our I AM poster and finished the morning by baking bread.
Through this hands-on lesson, the kids learned that just like bread gives our bodies what we need, Jesus gives our hearts what we truly need.

Memory Verse: “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.” - John 6:35

We are so thankful for this sweet time of learning, worship, and making memories together.

☀️ Summer is here at CPF Kids! ☀️

Starting tomorrow, we’re doing things a little differently this summer — Together we’ll dive into Jesus’s 7 “I Am” statements from the Gospel of John! Discovering who Jesus says He is.

One of the week in August families will worship together in the main service, hearing God’s Word side by side. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

And stay tuned — we’ll wrap up the summer with Back to School activities in our final week! 🎒📚

Two Sundays ago was Father’s Day! Although our kids didn’t do a special Father’s Day activity, we spent time learning about the ultimate Father we have…God! Psalm 136 describes God’s faithful love that endures forever. If our earthly dads can love us so much, imagine how much more our Heavenly Father loves us! His love never fails, and we can always trust and count on Him.

Today in CPF Kids, we dove into something really special: the meaning of baptism and the story of Jesus being baptized in the Jordan River.

But the highlight? Our kids got to watch two brothers from our church step into the waters and publicly declare their faith. You could feel the joy in the room.

It was one of those moments where faith becomes real, not just a lesson but a living picture.

We’re praying that one day, our CPF Kids will stand on that stage too, ready to say: I love Jesus and I choose to follow Him, forever.
