🌸 Norooz Series: Final Part 🌱

Today is Sizdah Bedar, meaning ‘thirteen outdoors’, the final day of Norooz celebrations in Iran. It is celebrated on the 13th day of Farvardin, the first month in the Iranian calendar.
During this day, families head to parks for picnics to spend the unlucky day outdoors in nature. Another part of the celebrations includes the throwing of sabzeh, the wheat/lentil sprouts, into a body of water as a symbolic act of getting rid of bad luck.
