Had a great time listening to cowboy poetry and some fantastic musical performances today at the Alberta Culture Days celebration. Thanks to the performers, the organizers and the friends and neighbours who came out to support the event.

It was a real honour today to spend the day worshipping with the congregation and celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the church building at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Parish of Plain Lake.

I was impressed to learn about how far some people came (Ontario, Calgary, Edmonton and many places in between) in order to be part of this celebration. The dedication to travel here today is a testimony to the importance of this church and the place it holds in the hearts of so many.

As a representative of the County of Two Hills I was glad for the chance to recognize and celebrate the history, tradition , faith and faithfulness of the community at Plain Lake Parish.

Congratulations to the Parrish and to the community on such a rich history.
