Following last week's grand opening of the K'áhsho Got'ı̨nę Trades Centre in Fort Good Hope, construction is officially underway on two new duplexes for Tulita. This project brings four new homes to the community.

These units are part of Housing NWT’s territory-wide plan to deliver 98 new modular housing units across nine NWT communities, while building local trades skills and creating jobs in the Sahtu region.

Delivery of one duplex is planned for the 2027 winter road, with completion expected by Spring 2027. https://ow.ly/VF9350ZITKA

GNWT and NTHSSA are advising residents that medical travel accommodations in Yellowknife are significantly reduced in September and October due to exceptionally high seasonal demand and limited lodging capacity.

Housing NWT is inviting proposals for the provision of services under the Dignity Through Secure Storage Initiative. The initiative is intended to support people experiencing homelessness in Yellowknife by providing secure storage services for personal belongings.

The Request for Proposals is being conducted through an open and competitive procurement process.
