It was a true Honour to do this barn quilt for Mr. McNulty ( Bill). Hope you enjoy your gift for Father’s Day.

This barn quilt truely represents him. At the young age of 20 he took over the farm in 1959. He raised a large number of pigs over the year and sold to 4-h kids including myself.I know he did a lot of business with my dad with horses, pigs and logging in the bush. He also had a nice bunch of cattle around.

We had a wonderful day Yesterday day painting barn quilts at the St.Jame’s Catholic Church in Eganville.

Thanks to Janice Sawbridge for organizing this fundraiser for your church. So many different designs ! Love them all!

Hope everyone had a blast !!! Thanks to my side kick Sherri who always is great in helping with colours.

Can wait to see all the final pieces !

As most of you know I donate one 4x4 barn quilt a year to someone who is doing a fundraiser. With out the support of many family and friends my business wouldn’t have grown in the last 5 years like it has.

This year this barn quilt will be donated to Ottawa Valley Seed Growers.

This quilt when invisioning RENFREW COUNTY- I thought Farming, walking mountains , beautiful sunsets, lakes, lucious grass and animals, farmers, and well taking off crops.

Well to put all into one - HERE IT IS!

Starts out with the beautiful sunset skies and mountains and lakes, worked up fields and a barn down lower in the valley with a barn quilt on the barn and a tractor sitting out front with a load of corn.

Head down to the OTTAWA Valley Farm Show March 12-14! We have never been and so excited to attend.

My barn quilt will be sold at their live yearly auction for CHEO at 1 pm on Thursday March 14 the last day of the show. Every year they select a department to support at Cheo but this year they are supporting the ‘One door 4 care’ initiative (new building project for a complete care center including mental
Health). They have a writeup on their website. All proceeds go to Cheo - everyone volunteers their time and items for the sale. The Ottawa Valley Seed Growers (group that runs the show) has been doing this for years and have raised quite a chunk of change over the years.
