What kind of impact can your work have? 🌱
45 years ago, Benedykt Hewelt arrived at St. Paul’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries after an accident in Vancouver Harbour. Care teams acted quickly, performing complex surgery and supporting his recovery, which included learning how to walk again.
Recently, at age 95, he returned to St. Paul’s Hospital with his family to say thank you:
“I was able to come home again to my wife and my children.”
Benedykt's story is a powerful reminder that the effect of providing compassionate care doesn’t end when a patient is discharged — it can stay with someone for the rest of their life.
Such outcomes are made possible by the dedication of teams that come together in critical moments, supporting patients through recovery and staying committed even when progress can be slow and uncertain.
At Providence Health Care, moments like this reflect the kind of work happening across our teams every day — where every role plays a meaningful part in the care patients receive.
If you're looking to be part of a collaborative team where your work helps improve lives and creates meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
