Join our wonderful volunteer, Rebecca, on her Frozen Meals delivery shift! Frozen Meals are available for seniors and adults who are chronically ill, living with disability, undergoing medical treatment, recovering from surgery, injury or illness or find it difficult to prepare meals for other reasons.

This program helps ensure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious meals and provides an opportunity for social interaction with volunteers with Rebecca. 💙💙

Summer students, Leah and Maha, are wrapping up their last day with Ancaster Community Services today. Over the last few months, they have been a tremendous support to our programs, including the Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and Frozen Meals. We wish them all the best in their very bright futures! ✨️✨️

We also want to thank MP John-Paul Danko and the Canada Summer Jobs program for making it possible to hire students like Leah and Maha. This support plays an integral role in our programs and services and helps bridge generational gaps in our community. 💙💙

We want to say a huge thank you to the Ancaster Legacy Football Club U12 Boys for collecting food donations at each of their games throughout the season! Over the last few months, they have donated 513 lbs of food to the Ancaster Food Bank.

Support like this helps keep our shelves stocked during a time of year that is often slow for donations. Thank you to the players for their embracing the opportunity to give back to their community with such enthusiasm, and thank you to the parents and organizers for encouraging them to do so. ⚽️💙💙

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the 2026 Backpack Drive! A special thank you to Meadowlands Fellowship CRC, Johnson Electric, EPI Renovations and Highgate Residence for their generous donations! 💙💙

Our team of volunteers was able to pack more than 90 backpacks with school supplies and snacks, which will be distributed to Ancaster families with children in the next couple weeks. 🎒📚✏️

Ancaster Community Services is looking to recruit 1-2 new members to our Board of Directors! Community members with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Human Resources
• Accounting/Finance
• Risk Management
• Governance
• Legal

Board of Director positions are voluntary with a three-year term. Board Members are expected to attend regular monthly meetings and can expect to commit about 4-5 hours of their time per month.

We are seeking qualified candidates who share our commitment to equity and inclusion, who will contribute to the diversification of ideas and perspectives, and welcomes applications from Indigenous (First Nations, MĂ©tis or Inuit) peoples, members of racialized communities, persons with disabilities, and persons of minority sexual orientation and gender identities.

Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter and two references to the ACS Board Nominations Committee at [email protected] by August 31, 2026.
