The Province keeps telling public institutions to “do more with less.”

We hear constant excuses about community services being under pressure and leaders having to make tough choices about what gets funded.

But these tax cuts tell a very different story.

The top 10% are receiving about $114 million — nearly a quarter of the total revenue loss from the main tax measures.

So while libraries, schools, and community organizations are being told to tighten their belts, the biggest benefits are flowing to those who already have the most.

Who is really being asked to make the hard choices?

Six ministers of Social Development in under five years!

While child poverty rises, homelessness grows, and the disability sector faces major changes, this lack of political attention to social care a is yet another failure of governance by the PC’s.

Groceries are already too expensive. 🙅‍♀️

Grocery chains shouldn't be able to hike the price of the same item based on your personal data, block new grocery stores from opening, or stop smaller stores from selling fresh food. But right now they can.

Today we're forcing debate on two NSNDP bills that would help lower grocery prices by banning these harmful practises in Nova Scotia.

Under the Houston government, Nova Scotians are paying more and getting less. Costs are rising, rent keeps climbing, and home ownership remains out of reach.

Nova Scotians don’t ask for much. They just want to be able to afford groceries and the basics. If the Houston government were serious about affordability, they would act.

Our legislation also keeps more money in Nova Scotians’ pockets by protecting rewards points and treating them like gift cards that can’t expire and creating stronger warranties for common electronics and household appliances.
