Town Office Restructuring Announcement

Following extensive collaboration and thoughtful discussions among the Human Resources Committee, Council, office staff, and various municipal officials, we are pleased to announce the completion of the Town Office restructuring.

This process has been guided by a shared commitment to strengthening our organization, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring we continue to provide exceptional service to our residents. We sincerely appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and valuable input of everyone who contributed throughout this process.

As part of the new organizational structure, Council is pleased to announce the following appointments:

• Town Manager – Allison Melindy

• Town Clerk – Juanita Pickett

• Project Manager – Alex Hefferton

The creation of the Project Manager position reflects the increasing number and complexity of projects currently underway and planned for our community. Major initiatives such as the new Water Treatment Plant, housing proposals, infrastructure improvements, and other strategic projects require dedicated oversight to ensure they continue to progress efficiently, meet timelines, and support the long term growth and success of our town.

Council looks forward to working with our staff under this new organizational structure as we continue to enhance municipal services and build an even stronger future for our community.

Please join us in congratulating Allison, Juanita, and Alex on their appointments. We are confident that their leadership, and

commitment will help move our community forward and continue delivering high-quality service to our residents.

I have no bed, yet many plans are made here.
I have no classroom, yet people come to learn.
I have no stage, yet important voices are heard.

Visitors come and visitors go,
But I stay right where the community grows.

Look nearby, but not too far,
For the final and most valuable crab of all.
