💝 Celebrating October: National Disability Employment Awareness Month 🎉

In Canada, a big thanksgiving dinner and dressing up for Halloween are what the month of October is known for.

But did you know that October is also National Disability Employment Awareness Month for our neighbours to the south? It aims to showcase the talent of professionals with a disability and advocates for more inclusive hiring practices. At Work With Us, we are proudly partnered with several USA based companies to deliver more equitable employment for the disability community.

Meet our new Board Member Nabeela Nathu!

Nabeela has 15+ years of experience in leveraging technology to inspire change. She has led technology transformations across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, throughout North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

In her capacity as a board member with Work With Us, she is guiding initiatives related to technology upskilling like our Salesforce Employment Program! Here is what our Director of Development had to say about working with Nabeela, "Nabeela is a leader of leaders and brings a fierce and compassionate spirit to the Work With Us board of directors. We are beyond fortunate to have her join our team!"

Outside of Work With Us, you can find Nabeela on one of Vancouver's beautiful hiking trails with her family of four. If forced indoors, Nabeela enjoys a good book, great food, and generous company. When she is not volunteering, Nabeela is the Director of Innovation & Transformation, within the Alliance Office at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).
