Pensionati all'estero: campagna accertamento esistenza in vita 2022/23
Con il messaggio 24 dicembre 2021, n. 4659 e il relativo Comunicato stampa (pdf 141 KB) l’INPS ha divulgato le modalità di svolgimento, la modulistica e la tempistica relativa al processo di accertamento dell’esistenza in vita dei pensionati che riscuotono all’estero relativo agli anni 2022/2023.
Tale processo riveste particolare importanza per l’Istituto, in quanto la difficoltà di acquisire informazioni complete, aggiornate e tempestive in merito al decesso dei pensionati espone l’Istituto al rischio di erogare pagamenti non dovuti. L’accertamento viene effettuato da Citibank NA, l’Istituto di credito che esegue i pagamenti al di fuori del territorio nazionale per conto dell’INPS.
I pensionati residenti nel Continente americano, nei Paesi scandinavi, negli Stati dell’est Europa e paesi limitrofi, in Asia, Medio ed Estremo Oriente, riceveranno da Citibank NA i moduli di richiesta di attestazione dell’esistenza in vita a partire dal 7 febbraio 2022.
Qualora l’attestazione non sia restituita alla banca entro il 7 giugno 2022, il pagamento della rata di luglio 2022 avverrà in contanti presso le Agenzie di Western Union e, in caso di mancata riscossione personale o di mancata produzione dell’attestazione entro il 19 luglio 2022, il pagamento della pensione sarà sospeso a partire dalla successiva rata di agosto 2022.
Relativamente alla seconda fase della campagna di accertamento dell’esistenza in vita per gli anni 2022 e 2023, che interesserà invece i pensionati residenti in Europa, Africa e Continente australe, a esclusione dei Paesi Scandinavi e dei Paesi dell’Est Europa, è stato concordato che Citibank curerà la spedizione delle richieste di attestazione dell’esistenza in vita nei confronti dei pensionati residenti nelle sopraindicate aree geografiche, a partire dal 14 settembre 2022.
Le attestazioni dovranno essere restituite alla banca entro il 12 gennaio 2023 e qualora la verifica non sia stata portata a termine entro tale temine, il pagamento della rata di febbraio 2023 avverrà in contanti presso le Agenzie di Western Union. In caso di mancata riscossione personale o di mancata produzione dell’attestazione di esistenza in vita entro il 19 febbraio 2023, il pagamento della pensione sarà sospeso dalla banca a partire dalla successiva rata di marzo 2023.

Pensioners abroad: life assessment campaign 2022/23
With the message 24 December 2021, n. 4659 and the related press release (pdf 141 KB) INPS has disclosed the procedures, the forms and the timing relating to the process of ascertaining the existence in life of pensioners who collect abroad for the years 2022/2023.
This process is of particular importance for the Institute, since the difficulty of acquiring complete, updated and timely information on the death of pensioners exposes the Institute to the risk of making undue payments. The assessment is carried out by Citibank NA, the credit institution that makes payments outside the national territory on behalf of INPS.
Retirees residing in the American continent , in Scandinavian countries , in Eastern European states and neighboring countries , in Asia, the Middle and Far East , will receive from Citibank NA the application forms for attestation of existence in life starting from 7 February 2022. .
If the certificate is not returned to the bank by 7 June 2022 , the payment of the July 2022 installment will be made in cash at the Western Union Agencies and, in the event of non-collection of personnel or non-production of the certificate by 19 July 2022 , the payment of the pension will be suspended starting from the next installment of August 2022.
With regard to the second phase of the living existence assessment campaign for the years 2022 and 2023, which will instead affect pensioners residing in Europe, Africa and the southern continent , with the exception of the Scandinavian countries and Eastern European countries, it was agreed that Citibank will handle the dispatch of requests for proof of existence in life to pensioners residing in the aforementioned geographical areas, starting from 14 September 2022 .
The certificates must be returned to the bank by 12 January 2023 and if the verification has not been completed by this deadline, the payment of the February 2023 installment will be made in cash at the Western Union Agencies. In the event of non-collection of personnel or non-production of the certificate of existence in life by February 19, 2023 , the payment of the pension will be suspended by the bank starting from the next installment of March 2023 .
