The Wembley Firefighters Association is made up of Volunteer Community Members and Volunteer Fire Department Members. We organize community events, plan fundraisers, seek grant funding, and more. Our goal is to not only give back to the community through these events but to raise money for the Wembley Fire Department. Since 2015 we have raised over $100,000 for the Fire Department for new equipment, apparatus, PPE, and Training. You do not need to reside in the Town of Wembley to join our association, we welcome volunteers from our surrounding community however please note that the majority of our work and meetings is conducted in the Town of Wembley.

We can't wait to see you! The street has been closed for your safety so feel free to bounce back & forth between the games, dinos, and firehall activities. Public washrooms and hand washing station is located across from the firehall for your convenience. (Yes! You do use them while they are on the trailer)

Our Association is seeking Event Volunteers!

Event Volunteers keep our Association running. Take a look at one of our most recent events for example; Canada Day! We had a total of 17 volunteers from the fire department and the association to help with the event. Emergencies can occur at any time, especially during peak holidays. Duty called shortly after we began serving breakfast and all 10 of the fire department's members had to respond within a few minutes notice. Without the 7 dedicated Association Event Volunteers we had remaining, we would not have been able to continue the event.

Event volunteers play a special role in our organization; you can make a huge impact on the community with minimal time commitment. Our friends at the Wembley Fire Department volunteer countless hours serving our community as first responders. As an Association Event Volunteer, you help both the Association and the Fire Department to show up to community functions. A big thank you to everyone from the Wembley Firefighters Association and our Wembley Firefighters for assisting with the annual highway cleanup recently. They tackled a 5km stretch from Saskatoon Lake Hall to Range Road 90, collecting trash and debris to keep our surrounding areas clean and looking beautiful!

They’ve Had Our Backs—Now It’s Time to Have Theirs.

Day in and day out, firefighters are there for us—risking their own safety to protect our rural communities on a volunteer basis. Now, one of those selfless individuals from the Beaverlodge Fire Rescue Team is facing a difficult medical battle, and it’s our turn to step up for them.

On Wednesday April 16, Winston experienced a sudden cardiac arrest during some physical fire training at the hall. Due to the quick action of other fire fighters at the hall, an off duty paramedic who responded to the hall from home and EMS, ROSC was achieved. Winston is still currently in a medically induced coma in the UofA ICU recovering while they investigate the cause of his event.

A GoFundMe has been created to help support Firefighter Winston and his young family through this challenging time. Whether you can donate or simply share the link, your support goes a long way.
