When a lot is going on we seek nature to shut down and embrace the forests around us in BC. It feels like it is what grounds us. It’s hard to imagine living without some trees around, especially in the Kootenays and Boundary area.
This spring we are thinking about more about what the season may hold for wildfires. I can’t say it enough that this is the time to get proactive to see what can be cleaned up during your spring cleaning list. Little steps as a home owner can influence a neighbour, to a community. As a group we need everyone’s effort in small was to ensure we have a more resilient community. Wildfires are not a matter of “if” anymore given the history we’ve seen locally and not far away regionally to the west Kootenay’s. Consider the outcomes if we don’t try. We might as well get started
