I was honoured to join municipal and provincial leaders today for the “Windsor: Gateway to the Diaspora” panel at the Windsor Convening, hosted by the Organisation for the Development and Diplomacy in recognition of the UN International Day for People of African Descent.

We talked about Windsor-Essex’s opportunities in the areas of trade, tourism, and investment in our community, as well as amthe incredible potential of our diaspora communities to be natural ambassadors for Windsor around the world.

It was a pleasure to meet Dr. June Soomer, Chair of the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent who travelled from the Caribbean to participate in the event.

Congratulations to Candies Kotchapaw, Michael Brown and the OEDD - Organization for Economic Development and Diplomacy team on a meaningful event, and thank you, Michael, for being such a gracious host.

Windsor has the location. We have the people. We have the connections. We have the skills and resilience. We need to turn that into opportunity.

Amazing. Thank you to all who shared and contributed in looking after and feeding neighbours who are dealing with food insecurity while dealing with the affordability crisis our country is going through. Very grateful to the Optimist Club of South Windsor for bringing the community together.

Pierre Poilievre is right. is probably the world’s most expensive drive-thru. You pay full price and only get half your order, and that pretty much sums up the bigger problem.

The Liberal government says it walked away from a bad deal. But Canadians have a right to ask: Show us the deal

People aren’t interested in political spin. They’re tired of dealing with higher grocery bills, higher costs to heat their home, and continued uncertainty about their jobs and their future.

Most Canadians are saying: if we are going to give up our leverage, there needs to be something tangible for workers and families on the other side of the table.

You can’t keep giving ground and then ask Canadians to believe that they are somehow in a "stronger" position than they were a year and a half ago.
Windsorites know the difference between a deal and a deal that actually delivers results.

61,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost since January 2025. In plenty of Canadian towns, that plant wasn't part of the economy, it was the economy.

Those jobs didn't vanish. They packed up and went somewhere that lets you build. We sit on the oil, gas, and the critical minerals the world needs, and we won't touch most of it. We tax whoever makes something, regulate whoever ships it, then act shocked when the line goes quiet and the same product rolls off a plant in Texas.

Canada does not have a resource problem. It has a permission problem.
