Summer Reading on the Boulevard — 2026

The Winnipegosis Public Library’s Summer Reading on the Boulevard program has now concluded, and what a wonderful summer of reading it has been!

This year, 16 children participated in the program and together they read an amazing 113 books! 📚

Congratulations to Thomas and Chloe, who were the lucky winners of the boys’ and girls’ gift prize baskets! We hope you enjoy your prizes!

Summer reading provides children with so many wonderful benefits. It helps strengthen reading skills, build vocabulary and comprehension, encourage imagination and creativity, and maintain confidence in reading during the summer months. Most importantly, it helps children discover that reading can be an enjoyable adventure—one that opens the door to new ideas, places, people, and possibilities.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the children and families who participated in the Winnipegosis Public Library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program. Your enthusiasm, participation, and love of reading helped make this program a success!

The gift prize baskets were generously funded by Deborah L. Falk, at a total cost of $120.17.
