🐱 Cat Management Month – June 2026
The Municipality of Woodlands, in partnership with the Woodlands Veterinary Clinic, will be running a Cat Management Program throughout June in the hamlet of Woodlands.
This initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership, manage feral and free-roaming cats, and support community safety.
What’s happening:
• Feral cats will be humanely collected by the municipality and assessed by a veterinarian
• Healthy cats will be spayed/neutered, then released or rehomed
For cat owners:
• Cats are not allowed to run at large, please keep them on your property
• Identified cats (tattoo/microchip) will be held (fees may apply for pickup)
• Unidentified cats may be considered unowned and rehomed
Protect your pet:
✔Ensure your cat is tattooed or microchipped
✔ Keep your cat contained on your property
✔ Keep your contact info up to date
This is a community effort, thank you for helping make it a success!
