Woodstock Caring Communities Committee

Woodstock Caring Communities Committee Woodstock Caring Communities Committee - focusing on awareness, education and prevention of domestic and intimate partner violence.

Since 1996, the Woodstock Caring Communities Committee has been actively working together as service providers and community members to raise awareness, provide education and training opportunities and host community events related to the issue of domestic and intimate partner violence. The ongoing efforts and activities of the committee are supported by grants and special projects funding through

a variety of government and non-government sources. In recent years, the WCCC has hosted Dr. Lorraine Fox for workshops in 2010 and 2011, Mr. Lundy Bancroft during National Victims of Crime Awareness Week 2012, and will host Dr. Michael Kaufman in Febuary 2013 with support from the RCMP Family Violence Initiative Fund, and held a “Take Back the Night March” in September 2012. Future projects and initiatives are currently in the planning stages. WCCC members volunteer their time and energy towards the efforts and initiatives of the committee and welcome their fellow community members in this important and meaningful work. The WCCC meets in Woodstock on a monthly basis. Join us as we create a better world, one step at a time. For more information, please contact:
