The shortage of tradespeople in NWT isn't just a labor issue; it's a community issue.

The NWT faces a unique challenge: our resident workforce is too small to sustain our economy, leading to a reliance on non-resident labour. When we lack skilled workers, our local businesses and communities suffer. It's time to invest in the people who build our future.

With the NWT leading the country in hospital stays due to addictions, it's time to rethink our approach!

Community-based healing options offer a more cost-effective and culturally sensitive solution. It's crucial for us to support these efforts and reduce the strain on our healthcare system so we can better serve all Northerners.

Did you know that tradespeople are the backbone of the NWT economy?

Their skills and expertise not only build our infrastructure but also sustain local businesses, so why do we rely on a significant non-resident labour force instead of investing in our own tradespeople?

Training and retaining these skilled individuals is a challenge we must address.

Addiction in our community needs a new approach!

The key to healing lies not in distant facilities, but right here on our land. Embracing On-The-Land healing offers a nurturing, familiar environment for those struggling, reducing the strain on Yellowknife's emergency and legal systems.

Why did Yellowknife City Council sell a $1.4 million lot for just a dollar?

It was originally bought to revitalize our ailing downtown area, but the lack of support from GNWT leadership has once again hindered progress. Meanwhile, our city struggles to maintain quality of life amid increasing expenses, leading families to move south.

The one thing that $1 gave us? It raised concerns about the city's economic stability!

How can we believe that NWT’s employment rate is the strongest in Canada when in reality, it’s all Yellowknife at 98% employment?

Outside Yellowknife is a different story: Youth at 30%, middle age at 60%, and 55+ over 45%. Unlocking our economy by bringing down barriers to Healing, Housing and Education will even out those graphs.

Healing, Housing and Education are three deficits holding the progress of NWT back from attracting new people and investments.
