These young changemakers are turning bold ideas into real actions for a more sustainable world 🌱💧🌍
🏆 The 6 Winning Projects:
🇳🇬 GreenAbility Project II – Hannah Omokhaye (Nigeria)
Empowering young persons with disabilities to lead inclusive disaster preparedness and climate resilience actions.
🇺🇿 Eco-Journalism and Sustainable Action in Janbasqala – Fazilat Kariyeva (Uzbekistan)
Combining clean water access with youth-led environmental journalism in communities affected by the Aral Sea crisis.
🇵🇰 Sustainable Shorelines: Combat for Green Turtle Conservation – Simrah Mobin (Pakistan)
Engaging students and AI technology to protect marine biodiversity and coastal ecosystems.
🇨🇲 Vétiver pour la Résilience: protéger Fifinda des catastrophes par la nature – Junior Barrière Homsi (Cameroon)
Using nature-based solutions and youth leadership to fight floods and erosion in Fifinda village.
🇮🇩 Climate Resilient Toilet: Safe Sanitation, Safe Future – Annisa Dewantari (Indonesia)
Building flood-resistant, community-led sanitation facilities for improved health and resilience.
🇵🇪 Ñawi Yaku – Lizet Mejía (Peru)
Restoring high-Andean ecosystems and water sources through community action and intergenerational environmental education.
Each of these projects represents what 1MYAC stands for: youth action, creativity, and collaboration to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. 🌍💡
