Puaikura Volunteer Fire Brigade The Puaikura Volunteer Fire Brigade was started back in 2002 by a small group of dedicated people. The Station is staffed entirely by volunteers.

The Puaikura Volunteer Fire Brigade responds to all emergencies as directed by the Police/Airport Rescue Fire & Disaster Management office. The Puaikura Volunteer Fire Brigade has grown into a professional and well established community emergency response service over the past 18 years. In order to provide this service in a safe and reliable manner it has been vital to have the support Fire and Em

ergency New Zealand (Training & Equipment), the Government of the Cook Islands through the Social Impact Find, The Airport Fire Service and the Volunteers and community as a whole. The PVFB volunteer fire brigade is made up of Jason Moorfield, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) John Koteka, Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) and approximately 24 Volunteer Fire Fighters.
