Kids Learning Club — Book Reading Sessions Continue This Week!

At the BHF Community Library, our children are growing one story at a time. Our weekly reading sessions include:

Read-alouds — stories brought to life, sparking imagination

Turn-taking reading — level-appropriate books that build fluency at each child's pace

Summaries by our older learners — strengthening comprehension and critical thinking

Through these simple, consistent activities, our children are gaining rich vocabulary, correct spelling, and real confidence in reading and speaking — skills that will serve them for life.

Story Time at the BHF Community Library! 📚✨

As the holiday season opened, the children at the BHF Community Library were treated to a beautiful and memorable reading session with the phenomenal Miss Nguty Stella Etoh-Nombo!

It was a Story Time with the classic tale — Little Red Riding Hood 🐺🧺 — and what a powerful lesson it carried!

The children were encouraged that whether on holiday or beyond, they must always pay attention to the instructions of their parents.

Just as Little Red Riding Hood's disobedience opened the door to danger, we want our children to understand that parental guidance is their protection.

A heartfelt appreciation goes to Madame Stella for her selfless, wonderful service — giving her time to read aloud to these young minds.

Reading aloud to children carries immense benefits: it sharpens their imaginative skills, builds their storytelling abilities, and most importantly, cultivates in them a love for learning that will last a lifetime. 💛
