MP Tabot Lawson Bakia Drives Major Road Rehabilitation in Kumba Urban*

The Member of Parliament for Kumba Urban Constituency, Hon. Tabot Lawson Bakia, has continued to prioritize the rehabilitation of roads across Kumba.

For the past several months, this initiative has been sponsored entirely by the MP. It has greatly improved accessibility in most quarters across the city. Previously, many neighborhoods were inaccessible due to the dilapidated state of the streets.

In line with his philosophy of _"Promise and Fulfillment,"_ popularly known as _"Talk and Do,"_ the MP has targeted the grading of several key streets, including:
- Charvic Street*, Buea Road
- The Krama to Anglican stretch
- The road leading to Government Bilingual Teachers' Training College, Kumba
- The Army Rescue stretch towards the Kumba Regional Annex
- RTC Junction, Buea Road to GLOBICCOL, Kumba
- Bonakama to Mukete Estate Limited
- Ndeme Avenue right up to Barombi Kang
• Mambanda to Mukonje Village
Beyond grading, filling, and compacting these streets, Hon. Tabot Lawson Bakia is currently sponsoring the construction of culverts in most quarters within the city of Kumba. Key projects include:
- Palm City Bridge
- All culverts from Anglican Junction to Azi and Mukete Estate Limited
- RTC Junction to GLOBICCOL
- CCAS Road: 300 meters of both-side gutters
- And other culvert projects across the city

Residents say the works have restored movement, reduced flooding in low-lying areas, and made key routes passable again during the rainy season.
