L'Office National du Cacao et du Café est un établissement public administratif doté d’une personnalité juridique et d’une autonomie financière. Il est créé par décret présidentiel N° 97/142 du 25 Août 1997 modifiant et complétant certaines dispositions du décret n° 91/272 et, placé sous la tutelle technique du Ministre chargé de la commercialisation des Produits de Base Agricoles. ATTRIBUTION

Contrôler ou faire contrôler et certifier la qualité des produits ;
+ Collecter et traiter les statistiques relatives à la production, aux exportations, à la transformation locale, à la consommation et aux stocks;
+ Arrêter les mesures incitatives à la rationalisation du commerce et de la commercialisation de produits, à la valorisation des produits et de leurs dérivés ainsi qu’à la promotion de la consommation;
+ Veiller à la diffusion de l’information au sein des filières et s’assurer du bon déroulement et de la cohérence des opérations;
+ Assurer la formation des opérateurs pour une professionnalisation accrue des filières;
+ Suivre les accords Internationaux de cacao et de café ainsi que la représentation du Cameroun auprès des organisations internationales de cacao et café.

The National Cocoa and Coffee Board (NCCB) was created by Decree N° 91/271 of 12 June 1991, and amended and supplemented by Decree N° 97/141 of the 25th August 1997. It is an administrative public establishment with financial autonomy under the supervisory authority of the Ministry of Trade. NCCB is a body created to ensure the control and marketing of Cocoa and Coffee. MISSION
+ Control and guarantee the quality of cocoa and coffee ;
+ The statistical monitoring of exports along with the cocoa and coffee marketing seasons;
+ Defend and promote the brand image of Cameroon origin;
+ Take measures to streamline and valorize the marketing of produce, their derivatives as well as promote the marketing process;
+ Oversee the dissemination of information and guarantee a smooth functioning of all activities in the sector;
+ Assure adequate training of sector operators so as to enhance professionalism;
+ Monitor international cocoa and coffee agreements as well as represent ing Cameroon in international cocoa and coffee organizations.
