Malema's message is simple: "Close their embassy and cut relations with this genocidal nation."

MADAGASCAR

"Every Serving Minister of Madagascar, including myself, shall not hold a foreign passport of another nation or possess dual citizenship" Madagascar’s new president, Colonel Michael Randrianirina declared during his swearing-in ceremony on Friday, October 17. The 51-year-old made his remarks in the capital Antananarivo as he took over leadership of the southern African island nation after three weeks of protests sent his predecessor fleeing the country.
Andry Rajoelina who ruled for 16 years, came to power via another military coup in 2009 aged 35, but recent protests over water, electricity and rising costs of living soon morphed into calls for his resignation altogether. Rajoelina was known to hold both French and Malagasy citizenship – in violation of the constitution. It remains to be seen if Randrianirina will be able to make changes and deliver where his predecessor failed.
