We were informed, on October 24, 2025, of the arrest of several political leaders, detentions said to be linked to the post-presidential election context, as well as other officials and activists from various political organizations.
We express our deep concern regarding these arrests, which have occurred in an already tense political climate, marked by a widespread mistrust of citizens toward institutions of power transfer, justice, and political reconciliation mechanisms.
We wish to reaffirm that the presumption of innocence remains a fundamental and non-negotiable principle of any rule-of-law state.
Every detained citizen must be granted effective protection and a fair, transparent procedure that fully respects their rights and liberties.
We sincerely hope these arrests are not part of a political reprisal or intimidation campaign.
We reiterate our commitment to political pluralism, freedom of expression, and truth.
We therefore call on the authorities to favor restraint, transparency, and dialogue rather than repression as an operating mechanism.
National stability cannot be built on fear or silence, but on a foundation of justice and mutual trust.
We invite our comrades, supporters, and fellow citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and determined, convinced that civic courage and truth always prevail in the end.
In conclusion, we reaffirm our stance as a party of conviction-based opposition, grounded in solid ideological principles, advocating for a State that protects and unleashes the potential of its citizens.
We believe neither in violence nor in submission, but in justice, governmental responsibility, and the sovereignty of the people.
Our duty is to remind, with dignity, that the Law the true compass of civic action must protect the citizen, not oppress them.
We remain convinced that an enlightened and organized sovereign people is the true compass of change, within an atmosphere of political openness that guarantees equal opportunity for all.
