A Full Moon, A World of Flavors:The 140th Canton Fair Is About to Begin

As the Mid-Autumn moon grows full, tables across China fill with flavors made to share. At the heart of the season is the mooncake, carrying wishes for reunion and harvest, along with local produce, craftsmanship, and memories of home.
Yet the mooncake carries more than memory. Like many traditional foods, it continues to evolve through new tastes, forms, and designs, creating new flavors of our time to be felt and tasted.
The 140th Canton Fair will open on October 15. From October 31 to November 4, Phase 3, themed “Better Life,” will feature the Food section. A rich panorama of Chinese flavors awaits visitors from around the world:
Taste the festival anew: Five-nut classics meet the smooth surprise of lava mooncakes
Follow the fragrance of tea: Fruit and floral notes refresh a timeless ritual
Discover the land in every crunch: Dried figs bring regional produce closer to everyday life

Each flavor leads further, revealing the product behind it, the brand that shaped it, and the market possibilities it may open for buyers around the world.
For seven decades, the Canton Fair has witnessed Chinese products reaching markets around the world and invited the world to read China through its products. The 140th Canton Fair will continue to serve as an important window for China’s opening up and a major platform for international trade cooperation, bringing Chinese flavors rich in cultural heritage and alive with innovation, onto an even broader global stage.

Diversity, Innovation and Complementarity Drive Two-Way China-Mexico Trade: 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference Successfully Held in Mexico
The 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference was successfully held on 17 September in Mexico City. Remarks were delivered by D**g Wei, Economic and Commercial Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Mexico, Vicente Roqueñí, Executive President of the China Chamber Mexico, Liu Xiaomin, Exhibition Director of China Foreign Trade Centre Group, Ltd., and Jaime Gutiérrez Casas, Coordinator of Economic Development and Competitiveness at the Secretariat of Economic Development of the Government of the State of Mexico. Around 120 representatives from the Mexican business community and China Southern Airlines attended the conference both in person and online.

Strengthening Business Connections, Expanding New Opportunities for Cooperation: 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference Successfully Held in the United States

The 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference was successfully held on 15 September in San Francisco, the United States. Remarks were delivered by Mr. Zhang Jianmin, Chinese Consul General in San Francisco, Mr. Matt Haney, California State Assemblymember, and Ms. Liu Xiaomin, Exhibition Director of China Foreign Trade Centre Group, Ltd., as well as representatives from the San Francisco city government, the Bay Area Council, the Port of Los Angeles, and the Port of Oakland. Around 180 representatives from China Southern Airlines and the U.S. business community attended the conference both in person and online.

Technology Builds Bridges, China-Argentina Complementarity Drives Win-Win Cooperation: Canton Fair Promotion Conference in Argentina

The 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference was successfully held on 10 September in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Remarks were delivered by Mr. An Guanghui, Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of China in Argentina, and Mr. Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre. Representatives from Argentine Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific, ICBC Argentina, and China General Chamber of Commerce for Latin America and the Caribbean, together with more than 360 representatives from the Argentine business community, attended the conference both in person and online. The event reached audiences in 10 cities across Argentina and three countries—Mexico, Uruguay and Chile.

Innovation, Services and Sharing: 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference Successfully Held in Chile
The 140th Canton Fair Promotion Conference was held on 9 September in Santiago, Chile. Remarks were delivered by Mr. Ma Keqiang, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial’s Office of the Embassy of China in Chile, Mr. Cristian Correa, General Manager of the International Affairs Department of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre. A total of 160 representatives from the business communities of Chile and other South American countries, including InvestChile, the Colombian Chamber of Construction, and the Lima Chamber of Commerce, attended the conference both in person and online. The event reached audiences in 23 cities across Chile and 2 neighbouring countries, Colombia and Peru.
