Blau Costa Verde Resort: es un maravilloso hotel 4 estrellas, situado en Holguín, específicamente en Playa Pesquero, una zona conocida por sus cálidas y cristalinas aguas.

Cubans don't drink Mojito...

Cubans usually do not drink Mojitos. All visitors came to Cuba crazy to taste this fresh and delicious cocktail and Cubans always take a look a little surprise. Do you know the reason? In Cuba we lost the tradition of consume good cocktails. Yes, due socials and economical reasons (that I can not explain in a few words) we forgot the primacy of our cocktail over beers. But the good news is that now you can drink in Havana, (in just some places, for the moment), such a fantastic Mojitos that I’m sure you will back just to enjoy the night with a good Mojito in your hand. I put special attention to make recommendations to my costumers (Cubaluxuryhotels) because must be the best and I will share them with you!!! So, visitors, friends and enemies, in Waoo Snack Bar, located in L and 23 Street (In front of Hotel Habana Libre) you can taste right now the best Mojito in Cuba. Waoo offers Mojitos in big glass of 9 onz, slices of lemon and in addition to the original recipe they add Añejo Reserva ( Habana Club). This place looks one thing outside but when you are inside is totally different in a good way, is really charming. Go preferably during the nights and you will love the atmosphere, cocktails, food and the traffic of Vedado neighborhood from a window of Waoo Snack Bar . Go ahead for a real Mojito, you deserve it!!!

Discrimination at Doña Eutimia restaurant, in Old Havana.

Yes, I’m talking about discrimination, this time not for religion or race matters, this time for be Cuban or be foreign. I visited this restaurant just a few days ago for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was full but I checked and many people were finishing their meals, they were just after the dessert and taking the coffee. The staff informed to us that the restaurant was full and even when some tables will be free, they had reserve these spaces (weird, cause there was not line of people waiting out). The staff did not make us any invitation to wait at the bar. There were not invitation for a reservation on another dates either; there was not intention to offer their service for us. Cubans can read between lines. That for sure that at Doña Eutimia prefers free spaces waiting for foreign costumers. It is a shame… Anyway, if they prefer foreign and we are talking about the same money (because Cubans also have money) I think, ¡visitor, pay attention to this ¨detail¨!

A few days ago I took a lunch at la Moneda Cubana restaurant, located at Cathedral Square, in Old Havana. I write for Cubaluxuryhotels therefore I need to check restaurants to write about quality. Now I can say that the best place to eat at la Moneda Cubana is the salon, in the second floor: best services, waiters are more professionals. The terrace has a great view but the furniture are so old and a little dirty. Waiters are no so good upstairs.
If you select lobster for the aperitif take a note that is sweet, sugary…Main dishes star from 9 CUC and my special recommendation in the lamb, the best that I had eat. They combine the lamb with salted vegetables, wine red, mushroom. Mashed potatoes are added, really exquisite...

Visitors, travelers, and Cuba’s lovers. You can taste such a new flavors in Havana, thanks to all restaurants recently opened. I enjoy so much this information that I will share it with you. Don’t miss the recommendation of Cubaluxuryhotels.

Café Laurent: it is a nice place located in Vedado Neirborhood. Top floor, spectacular view, fresh air, stunning crockery and exquisite food. Go ahead to the elevator, even the lobby don’t offer you the best impression. In the top you will arrive to a nice apartment, with 50 style. Please, go directly to the terrace, it is the best place. If you go for having a lunch request the executive menu, good and bargain.

Mimoza Restaurant: Actually the most popular place visit for Cubans. Main specialty is Italian food but you can find something of International and Creole food. Recipes are excellent and the best part is the staff, people that will be dedicated to you. Definitely you will love them. Don’t miss inform about birthdays, if it is the occasion. They will surprise to you!!!
Mimoza is located in Chinese town, beside to Flor del Loto restaurant. If you will have a lunch there please try to be around 12: 00 pm. After this time you can find a line of people waiting to enter.

Pizzas are excellent, all of them, but for me, Canelones won the battle!!! Remain request the aperitif mix…absolutely delicious…
Divino Restaurant: It is located a little far way from the Historical Center, near to Parque Lenin. Select to go there a sunny day, in a beautiful morning and you will have a lunch surround by exuberated vegetation, fresh air and delicious food. The restaurant is inserted in an extend farm, with gardens, terraces and many spaces to walk and relax.
Food delicious (included the grill) and the best part are the wine cava and the sommelier.
¿Prices? Between moderate and high. Just according the wines you select!!!!
