🌿 As part of the series, ΑΚΤΗ / AKTI Project and Research Centre, together with the Δήμος Αθηένου / Municipality of Athienou, brought together local stakeholders to explore how a locally adapted composting system can support , circular resource management and climate resilience.

Representatives from the municipality, farming and livestock communities, research organisations and the NURISH project discussed opportunities and challenges related to organic waste management, including manure, olive prunings and green waste. The workshop also identified key capacity-building needs and priority actions to support the future implementation of the composting system.

The outcomes will guide the next stages of 2 in Athienou, strengthening collaboration between local stakeholders and advancing practical, community-driven solutions for a more resilient and circular future.

🌿 As part of the series, , with the support of the Municipality of Western Lesvos, organised a participatory workshop in the 1 in , bringing together a wide range of local stakeholders to discuss how and resource reuse can strengthen climate resilience.

Discussions focused on sustainable water management for crop irrigation, the potential of reclaimed water, community-driven adaptation, stakeholder collaboration and the capacity-building needs required to develop practical solutions tailored to local challenges.

The workshop outcomes will help shape the next steps of in Western Lesvos, supporting the wider adoption of Nature-based Solutions and sustainable water management practices across the region.

Ο Επαρχιακός Οργανισμός Αυτοδιοίκησης Λάρνακας (ΕΟΑΛ) ενημερώνει το κοινό ότι το Πράσινο Σημείο Αθηένου επαναλειτουργεί κανονικά από 07/09/2026 και είναι διαθέσιμο για την εξυπηρέτηση των δημοτών.

♻️ Οι πολίτες μπορούν να μεταφέρουν στο Πράσινο Σημείο τα επιτρεπόμενα οικιακά απόβλητα, σύμφωνα με τις κατηγορίες αποβλήτων που γίνονται αποδεκτές στην εγκατάσταση.
