DOWEA is a field activity of the Office of the Secretary of War. Each region is managed by a Director for Student Excellence.

A page providing news and information in support of school-age Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) children of active duty military and civilian employees. It is headed by a director who oversees all agency functions from DOWEA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. DOWEA's schools are divided into three regions; DOWEA Europe; DOWEA Pacific; and DOWEA Americas. Wi

We wanted to share a few upcoming events as we prepare for the new school year:

August 13 at 2 p.m.
This event is for all rising freshmen and any students and families who are new to Stuttgart High School.

🖤💛Open House: Meet the Teachers
September 3 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Join us for a student-led tour, meet your teachers, and learn important class-specific information for the year ahead.

🖤💛Fall Sports Tryouts
First week of school | 3-5:30 p.m. daily
All fall sports tryouts will take place after school during the first week. Be sure to turn in your sports physical before tryouts begin!

Very proud of our students for being one of the 2026 Presidential AI Challenge winners! Great work representing our school!

In April 2025, an executive order directed the establishment of the Presidential AI Challenge to expand artificial intelligence education for America’s youth. DoWEA is proud to recognize 2026 Presidential AI Challenge State Champion teams in nine DoWEA schools.
