🫧 Learning About Personal Space in First Grade! 🫧

Our first graders have been learning about classroom and grade-level expectations through the book, “Personal Space Camp”! 📚

We took our learning outside for some hands-on fun! Students drew their own “comfort bubbles” with chalk, blew bubbles to visualize personal space, and even used a jump rope to practice keeping a safe distance while walking in the hallway. 🫧🖍️

Our first graders had a blast while learning important lessons about personal space, safety, and respecting others! 💙💛

Families are welcome to join us as we gather together for the **National Anthem** and take a moment to remember and honor those impacted by September 11th. ❤️🤍💙

**Please note:** Families will need to say their goodbyes outside following the remembrance, as students will return to the building with their classes.

🥐☕ **Pastries with the Principal is Back!** ☕🥐

Join us for our first Pastries with the Principal of the school year and take the opportunity to meet our new administration! 💙💛

🔥🚒 First Fire Drill of the Year = SUCCESS! 🚒🔥

Our students did an amazing job during our first fire drill of the school year! 👏 They practiced listening carefully, following directions, and exiting the building safely and calmly.

After the drill, our wonderful Fire Department made the experience extra special by putting on some fun and educational activities for our kiddos! 🧑‍🚒❤️ Students had the opportunity to learn more about fire safety, see firefighters in action, and get an up-close look at some of their equipment.

A HUGE thank you to our firefighters for taking the time to teach our Mighty Griffins about fire safety and for making today such a memorable experience! 💙💛🔥

📣 We’re Looking for New SAC Committee Members! 📣

Want to get involved and help make a difference in our school community? 💙💛 Our School Advisory Committee (SAC) is looking for new members to fill vacant spots for the 2026–2027 school year!

SAC brings together parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to share ideas, strengthen communication, and help address issues that impact our students and school community meeting once a quarter.

Dear Stuttgart Elementary Families,

Temperatures are expected to reach the 80s tomorrow, so we will be taking additional steps to keep our Mighty Griffins safe and comfortable throughout the day.

Staff will monitor indoor and outdoor conditions, provide frequent water breaks, and adjust recess and physical activities as needed. We will also utilize fans, keep shades and blinds closed where possible, and take other measures to keep the building as cool as possible.

Families can help by sending students with a refillable water bottle, dressing them in lightweight clothing, and applying sunscreen before school if appropriate.

As a reminder, tomorrow is an early release day, with dismissal at 1330.
