EUNIC Egypt EUNIC stands for the European Union National Institutes for Culture. This support is could be granted to institutions, individuals and government agencies.

EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture in Egypt is the European network of 15 organisations engaging in cultural relations. EUNIC Egypt works though the Euro-Egyptian Cultural Programme to support the Egyptian cultural and artistic scene since 2019. Our philosophy is to support artists through providing technical and financial capacity building to put startups on track, support the

already ongoing project’s sustainability, and support organisations in developing projects and initiatives. The EUNIC seeks to create liberal space for the art and cultural sector in Egypt where countries and organisations share knowledge and expertise in order to introduce different cultures and bring them together. The project aims at supporting the cultural and creative sector in Egypt through four main pillars:
1. Open Call
Through this component, the programme provides administrative and financial support to small and medium projects. Art Residency Program
This component is based on selecting artists from Egypt and Europe to work together on creating an artistic/creative/cultural product that integrates Egyptian and European cultures. The program hosts selected artists in Egypt for a period of three months to work on creating their cultural, artistic or creative product.
3. Supporting Film, Music, and Performing Arts Festivals
The program supports many independent art festivals in Egypt with the aim of providing the organizers with an opportunity to create free spaces for artistic participation and the opportunity for the public to learn about different cultures in the fields of cinema, music and performing arts.
4. Training and Capacity Building
This component aims to raise the efficiency of workers in the cultural and creative field on cultural and financial management, and technical and artistic skills.

" مدى" هو برنامج تدريبي موجه للراقصين والمؤدين الشباب، يهدف إلى تطوير مهاراتهم الفنية وتوفير مساحة للتجريب والاستكشاف والتعمق في العلاقة بين الجسد والحركة والأداء.

يأتي هذا البرنامج نتاجًا لتعاون مشترك بين مركز الفنون بمكتبة الإسكندرية ومعهد جوته – الإسكندرية، وبدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي في مصر (European Union in Egypt)، وبالتعاون مع اتحاد المعاهد الثقافية الوطنية الأوروبية في مصر (EUNIC Egypt).

A glimpse into the first workshop of "Mada – Creative Contemporary Dance Alexandria" with Mohamed Fouad.

“Mada” is a training program for young dancers and performers, aimed at developing their artistic skills and providing a space for experimentation, exploration, and deeper engagement with the relationship between the body, movement, and performance.

This program is a joint collaboration between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center and the Goethe-Institut Alexandria, with support from the European Union in Egypt and in cooperation with the European Union National Institutes for Culture in Egypt (EUNIC Egypt).

Recap from our “Urban and Green Spaces” Symposium, organized in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Cairo and the Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt as part of SABBART Vol. 3.

The symposium brought together artists, urban practitioners, and environmental experts to explore the relationship between cities, ecology, and public space. We were delighted to welcome Austrian artist Benedikt Werth for an insightful artist talk, followed by a panel discussion on urban ecologies featuring local experts working across environmental, artistic, and urban contexts.

In the afternoon, participants joined two interactive workshops that further expanded on the themes of the symposium: a Cultural Mapping Workshop led by Ahmad Zaaza and a hands-on workshop on soil and ecological practices facilitated by Bavly Tawfeles, founder of Wadj Space.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, to Benedikt Werth, our panelists, and to Ahmad Zaaza and Bavly Tawfeles for sharing their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives throughout the day. We are grateful for the inspiring discussions and exchanges that made this event possible.

لمحة عن ندوة "الفضاءات العمرانية و المساحات الخضراء" التي تم تنظيمها من معهد جوتة بالقاهرة و سفارة سويسرا بمصر كجزء من الدورة الثالثة لمهرجان "صبارت".
جمعت الندوة فنانين متخصصين في الشأن العمراني و خبراء في مجال البيئة لاستكشاف العلاقة بين المدن و البيئة و المساحات العامة. يسعدنا الترحيب بالفنان النمساوي بنيدكت فيرت و الذي قدم حديث فني ملهم أعقبه نقاش حواري حول البيئات الحضرية شارك فيه خبراء محليون يعملون في مجالات البيئة و الفنون و التخطيط الحضري.
وفي فترة ما بعد الظهر شارك الحضور في ورشتين تفاعليتين توسعتا في تناول موضوعات الندوة: ورشة رسم الخرائط الثقافية التي قدمها أحمد زعزع و ورشة عمل تطبيقية حول التربة و الممارسات البيئية قدمها بافلي ثاوفيلس مؤسس

في يوم ٧ يونيو، سفارة السويد في القاهرة افتتحت معرض Expedition Art في جاليري مشربية للفن المعاصر، بافتتاح من سعادة السفير داج يوهلين‑دانفلت وبمشاركة الفنانة السويدية إيدا رودين.

المعرض بيتقدَّم تحت مظلة SABBART (مشروع من EUNIC Egypt)، وبيستكشف رؤى فنية عن المناخ والمناطق القطبية، وبيجمع الإبداع السويدي مع حوار عالمي حوالين بيئتنا المشتركة.

معرض Expedition Art مفتوح للزيارة لحد ٢١ يونيو، يوميًا (ما عدا الجمعة) من ١١ صباحًا لحد ٨ مساءً، وبيقدّم للزوار أسبوعين من الاكتشاف والتأمل. 🖼️

فتح باب التقديم في برنامج مدى - الرقص المعاصر الإبداعي بالإسكندرية

هل أنت مهتم/ة بالرقص أو الأداء الحركي؟ هل تبحث عن مساحة للتعلم والتجريب والتعبير الفني؟

ندعوك للتقديم إلى برنامج "مدى - الرقص المعاصر الإبداعي بالإسكندرية" والانضمام إلى رحلة فنية تمتد لعدة أشهر، تجمع بين الحركة والإبداع والبحث والتطوير الفني.

"مدى" برنامج تدريبي للشباب المهتمين بالرقص والأداء الحركي، يتيح للمشاركين تطوير مهاراتهم الفنية، واستكشاف إمكانيات الجسد والحركة، والعمل في بيئة داعمة للتجريب والإنتاج الإبداعي.

يتضمن البرنامج مجموعة متنوعة من الورش والتدريبات في الرقص المعاصر، والحركة، والارتجال، والتكوين الأدائي، والوعي الجسدي، والمسرح الحركي، إلى جانب جلسات بحثية ونقاشية حول الفن والهوية والفلكلور.

📅 من أواخر يوليو 2026 حتى أوائل أبريل 2027

Mada offers young people interested in dance and movement-based performance the opportunity to develop their artistic skills, explore the expressive potential of the body, and work within a supportive environment for artistic exploration and creation.

The program includes a diverse range of workshops and training sessions in contemporary dance, movement practices, improvisation, performance composition, body awareness, and physical theatre, alongside research-based discussions on art, identity, and folklore.
