السفارة ومكتب السيدة الأولى يعززان الجهود لدعم مواطني جنوب السودان في مصر

في 12 أغسطس 2026، استقبل سعادة السفير كوال نيوك كوال أروب، رئيس بعثة سفارة جمهورية جنوب السودان لدى جمهورية مصر العربية، وفدًا من مكتب السيدة الأولى لجمهورية جنوب السودان، فخامة السيدة ماري أيين ميارديت، بمقر السفارة بالقاهرة.

وترأس الوفد السيدة الفاضلة نيايث مانيوات، يرافقها رئيس المراسم بمكتب السيدة الأولى، السفير ألور كوال نيوك. وجاءت الزيارة للوقوف على أوضاع المواطنين الجنوب سودانيين في مصر والاطلاع على التحديات التي تواجه أبناء الجالية في ظل الإجراءات الحالية المتعلقة بالإقامة والهجرة.

كما عقد الوفد لقاءات مع الأقسام المختصة بالسفارة، واستمع إلى إحاطة شاملة من القسم القنصلي حول أوضاع المواطنين، بما في ذلك حالات الاحتجاز والتحديات الإنسانية والقنصلية التي تواجه بعض أبناء الجالية.

وأوضح سعادة السفير أن إجراءات إنفاذ قوانين الإقامة والهجرة الحالية تطبق بصورة عامة على الأجانب المقيمين في مصر، مع تسليط الضوء على التحديات الخاصة التي يواجهها المواطنون الجنوب سودانيون، والجهود المستمرة التي تبذلها السفارة لتقديم الدعم والمساعدة لهم.

وأكد الوفد التزام مكتب السيدة الأولى باستكشاف السبل العملية التي يمكن من خلالها دعم الجهود الإنسانية والقنصلية والمساهمة في معالجة التحديات التي تواجه المواطنين الأكثر احتياجًا.

وفي مبادرة إنسانية مهمة، نجحت السفارة أيضًا في تسهيل عودة 30 مواطنًا جنوب سودانيًا من المحتجزين في السجون المصرية إلى جوبا، بدعم ورعاية فخامة السيدة ماري أيين ميارديت، السيدة الأولى لجمهورية جنوب السودان.

وتعرب السفارة عن تقديرها للدعم المستمر والالتزام الذي يبديه مكتب السيدة الأولى، وتؤكد عزمها على مواصلة العمل والتنسيق مع جميع المؤسسات والجهات ذات الصلة من أجل حماية ودعم مواطني جنوب السودان في مصر.

Embassy and Office of the First Lady Strengthen Efforts to Support South Sudanese Nationals in Egypt

On 12th August 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in the Arab Republic of Egypt, received a delegation from the Office of the First Lady of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Mary Ayen Mayardit, at the Embassy.

The delegation was led by Hon. Madam Nyayath Manyuat, accompanied by the Chief of Protocol of the Office of the First Lady, Ambassador Alor Kuol Nyok. The delegation visited Egypt to assess the situation of South Sudanese nationals and understand the challenges currently affecting the community amid the ongoing immigration and residency enforcement measures.

The delegation met with the Embassy’s relevant sections and received a comprehensive briefing from the Consular Services on the situation of South Sudanese nationals, including those facing detention and other challenges.

H.E. Ambassador Kuol explained that the current enforcement measures are being applied broadly to foreign nationals residing in Egypt, while highlighting the specific challenges faced by South Sudanese nationals and the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to support and assist them.

The delegation expressed its commitment to exploring practical ways through which the Office of the First Lady can support humanitarian and consular efforts and contribute to addressing the challenges facing vulnerable South Sudanese nationals.

In a significant humanitarian initiative, the Embassy also facilitated the return to Juba of 30 South Sudanese detainees from prisons in Egypt, with the return operation sponsored by H.E. Mary Ayen Mayardit, First Lady of the Republic of South Sudan.

The Embassy appreciates the continued support and commitment of the Office of the First Lady and reaffirms its determination to work closely with all relevant institutions to protect and support South Sudanese nationals in Egypt.

Courtesy Call at the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan - Cairo

On 2nd August 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in the Arab Republic of Egypt, received H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Mahgoub Ahmed Shawar, who paid a courtesy call at the Embassy following his appointment as Head of the League of Arab States Office in the Republic of South Sudan.

H.E. Ambassador Kuol warmly congratulated Ambassador Shawar on his appointment and wished him every success in his new assignment. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on issues of mutual interest and reaffirm the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of South Sudan and the League of Arab States.

The Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan wishes H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Mahgoub Ahmed Shawar every success in his mission and looks forward to continued collaboration in advancing the strong and friendly relations between South Sudan and the League of Arab States.

South Sudan Represented at the 3rd African-Asian Media Union Conference - Egypt

On 29th July 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in the Arab Republic of Egypt, participated in the 3rd African-Asian Media Union Conference held in Cairo under the theme “Media Unites Peoples.”

The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, and was attended by ambassadors, journalists, and media professionals from across Africa and Asia.

During the event, South Sudan was proudly represented by two South Sudanese journalists, who were honored with Certificates of Appreciation and commemorative trophies in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the media sector.

H.E. Ambassador Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop congratulated the award recipients, describing the recognition as a proud achievement for South Sudan and a testament to the important role of the media in promoting unity and cooperation among nations. Also H:E. Ambassador. Kuol Nyok Kuol was honoured besides two South Sudanese journalists .

تعزيز الدعم الحكومي للمواطنين الجنوب سودانيين في جمهورية مصر العربية

في 16 يوليو 2026، التقى سعادة السفير كوال نيوك كوال أروب، رئيس بعثة سفارة جمهورية جنوب السودان لدى جمهورية مصر العربية، بمعالي ألبينو أكول أتاك، وزير الشؤون الإنسانية وإدارة الكوارث، بمدينة جوبا، وذلك لبحث أوضاع المواطنين الجنوب سودانيين المقيمين في جمهورية مصر العربية.

وخلال اللقاء، قدّم سعادة السفير إحاطة شاملة حول أبرز التحديات التي تواجه أبناء الجالية، بما في ذلك حالات الاحتجاز، والترحيل، ونقص فرص العمل، والأوضاع الإنسانية للمواطنين الذين دخلوا مصر خلال فترة النزاع في السودان.

كما استعرض سعادته الجهود التي تبذلها السفارة في تسجيل المواطنين الراغبين في العودة الطوعية إلى جنوب السودان، والتنسيق المستمر مع المنظمة الدولية للهجرة (IOM) لتوسيع برنامج العودة الإنسانية الطوعية وزيادة عدد المستفيدين منه.

من جانبه، أكد معالي الوزير ألبينو أكول أتاك التزام حكومة جمهورية جنوب السودان بدعم مواطنيها في الخارج، مشيرًا إلى أن الحكومة ستعمل بالتعاون مع الشركاء الإنسانيين والجهات المانحة على حشد الموارد اللازمة لضمان عودة آمنة وطوعية وكريمة للمواطنين الراغبين في العودة إلى الوطن.

كما أوضح معالي الوزير أنه ناقش مؤخرًا هذا الملف مع سفير جمهورية مصر العربية لدى جنوب السودان، مؤكدًا أهمية استمرار التنسيق والتعاون بين الجانبين، بما في ذلك إمكانية تنظيم زيارة ميدانية إلى جمهورية مصر العربية لتقييم الأوضاع والاطلاع على احتياجات المواطنين على أرض الواقع.

ويجسد هذا اللقاء حرص حكومة جمهورية جنوب السودان وسفارتها في القاهرة على مواصلة العمل المشترك لإيجاد حلول إنسانية ومستدامة للتحديات التي تواجه أبناء الجالية، وتعزيز الجهود الرامية إلى حماية المواطنين وتقديم الدعم اللازم لهم.

وتؤكد سفارة جمهورية جنوب السودان بالقاهرة التزامها الكامل بمواصلة خدمة مواطنيها، والدفاع عن مصالحهم، والعمل مع جميع الشركاء والسلطات المختصة بما يحقق أفضل النتائج لأبناء جنوب السودان في جمهورية مصر العربية.

Government Strengthens Support for South Sudanese Nationals in Egypt

On 16th July 2026, H.E. Ambassador Kuol Nyok Kuol Arop, Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in the Arab Republic of Egypt, met with Hon. Albino Akol Atak, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, in Juba to discuss the situation of South Sudanese nationals residing in Egypt.

During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador provided a comprehensive briefing on the challenges facing members of the South Sudanese community, including arrests, deportations, unemployment, and the humanitarian situation of those who entered Egypt during the conflict in Sudan.

The Ambassador also updated the Minister on the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to register South Sudanese nationals wishing to return home voluntarily and its close coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to expand the Voluntary Humanitarian Return Programme.

Hon. Albino Akol Atak reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting South Sudanese citizens abroad and pledged to work with humanitarian partners and development agencies to mobilize resources for a safe, voluntary, and dignified return. He also emphasized the importance of continued engagement with the Government of Egypt to address the challenges facing South Sudanese nationals.

The meeting reflects the Government of South Sudan’s continued commitment to protecting its citizens abroad and finding practical, humanitarian solutions for those wishing to return home.

The Embassy remains committed to serving, protecting, and supporting every South Sudanese citizen in Egypt. Together, we are working towards lasting solutions and renewed hope for our people.

العمل معًا من أجل العودة الطوعية إلى جنوب السودان

في 1 يوليو 2026، عقد سعادة السفير كوال نيوك كوال أروب، رئيس بعثة سفارة جمهورية جنوب السودان لدى جمهورية مصر العربية، برفقة فريق القسم القنصلي بالسفارة، اجتماعًا مثمرًا مع المنظمة الدولية للهجرة (IOM) – مكتب مصر، برئاسة السيد كارلوس أوليفر كروز، رئيس بعثة المنظمة لدى جمهورية مصر العربية، وبحضور السيدة فيكتوريا كليموفا والسيدة ياسمين، مديرتي برنامج الحماية، إلى جانب فريق عمل المنظمة.

وركز الاجتماع على تعزيز التعاون في إطار برنامج العودة الإنسانية الطوعية للمواطنين الجنوب سودانيين الراغبين في العودة إلى وطنهم.

وأعرب سعادة السفير عن خالص شكره وتقديره للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة في مصر على شراكتها المستمرة والتنفيذ الناجح للبرنامج خلال العام الماضي، والذي مكّن العديد من مواطني جنوب السودان من العودة إلى وطنهم بصورة آمنة وطوعية.

وفي ظل التحديات الراهنة التي تواجه العديد من أبناء الجالية الجنوب سودانية في مصر، طلب سعادة السفير من المنظمة تسريع إجراءات العودة الطوعية وزيادة عدد المستفيدين من البرنامج.

ومن جانبها، رحبت المنظمة الدولية للهجرة بهذا الطلب، وأكدت التزامها بتوسيع نطاق البرنامج وزيادة عدد المستفيدين، وفقًا للإجراءات الفنية والتقييمات اللازمة.

واتفق الجانبان على أن تتولى السفارة تسجيل المواطنين الجنوب سودانيين الراغبين في العودة الطوعية، وإعداد قوائم بأسمائهم وإحالتها إلى المنظمة الدولية للهجرة لاستكمال الإجراءات. وبعد إجراء التقييمات المطلوبة، ستتولى المنظمة تسهيل عودة أكبر عدد ممكن من المستفيدين المستوفين للشروط.

واختُتم الاجتماع في أجواء سادها التفاهم وروح الشراكة، حيث جدد الطرفان التزامهما المشترك بدعم المواطنين الجنوب سودانيين وتقديم الحلول الإنسانية والعملية التي تحفظ كرامتهم وتلبي احتياجاتهم.

وتدعو سفارة جمهورية جنوب السودان جميع المواطنين الجنوب سودانيين المقيمين في جمهورية مصر العربية والراغبين في العودة الطوعية إلى الوطن إلى التواصل مع السفارة لاستكمال إجراءات التسجيل والحصول على الإرشادات اللازمة.

معًا… نصنع طريق العودة إلى الوطن.
