Liberation of Fiji Party Registered - Fiji Now Has Eleven Political Parties

The Registrar of Political Parties (Registrar), Ms Ana Mataiciwa, has approved the registration of the Liberation of Fiji Party (LFP) today, 14 August 2026.

Fiji now has eleven registered political parties.

Electoral Commission Holds Induction and Briefing Programme for Commissioners

The Electoral Commission has concluded a two-day induction and briefing programme for its members, including newly appointed Commissioners Ms Nicola Vuetilovoni and Ms Raumanu Georgina Pranjivan.

The programme provided Commissioners with an overview of the Commission’s mandate and responsibilities, Fiji’s electoral framework and the electoral cycle. A key focus was the Commission’s newly approved Rules and Procedures, providing Commissioners with insights into the governance and procedural framework that guides the conduct of the Commission’s business and the discharge of its responsibilities.

A great day bringing voter registration services closer to the community at Vatureba Park in Keiyasi, Navosa!

In celebration of International Youth Day 2026, our Fijian Elections Office teams, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, were on the ground assisting eligible Fijians to register and get election-ready.

Families and friends also had the chance to meet our friendly mascot, Feo, and capture some memorable moments together.

No Writ for the 2026 General Election has been issued.
