Tokani: Friends of the Fiji Museum Tokani, the Friends of the Fiji Museum is a community dedicated to supporting the Fiji Museum. In 2017 it was re-named Tokani: Friends of the Fiji Museum.

The Friends of the Fiji Museum Society was formed in 1986 and over the years has included leaders from the business, government, education, non-governmental and diplomatic communities as well as locals,residents and visitors to Fiji. Tokani is a growing community of people dedicated to working in partnership with the museum to preserve its collection, provide education, undertake research and pres

What’s happening at the Fiji Museum this September?

We have an exciting lineup of events and special offers coming up! Mark your calendars:

🗓️2nd and 3rd Sept: The Fiji Museum, in collaboration with The Veiqia Project, is hosting a two-day school holiday workshop teaching students the art of masi printing, liku weaving, and painting. (Note: Registrations are closed)

🗓️17th Sept: The Poetry Shop Fiji is hosting an open poetry reading! Interested poets and performers can register and share their pieces.

🗓️19th Sept: Margaret Aull will be hosting an artist talk on the Na Cagi ni Veisau exhibition. The gallery is open to all!

🗓️20th Sept: It’s Sunday Funday! As with every third Sunday of the month, local
visitors get 50% off admission fees.

🗓️26th Aug: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Fiji is hosting the Korea Culture Festival! Participants will play, taste, create, and discover the best of Korea. (Note: Registrations are closed)

What a night, !! Dhanyvaad ll Thank you ll Vinaka’saka Vakalevu 🙏🏽 for your continued love and generosity towards our fundraising efforts. If you were able to join us last night, gifted tickets or donated to Tokani: we are truly grateful.

We are indebted to K R Latchan Buses Company for providing transfers to participating restaurants, vinaka vakalevu for the safe and study party buses.
