🎉 À l’occasion de la Journée Internationale de la Francophonie, célébrée chaque 20 mars dans le monde, nous avons demandé à cinq de nos volontaires quel était leur mot français préféré. Voici leurs réponses !

[JOURNÉE INTERNATIONALE DU VOLONTARIAT]

Aujourd'hui, en présence d’une cinquantaine de volontaires venus des quatre coins du monde, nous avons célébré la Journée internationale du volontariat 🌎. Après une matinée d’échanges autour des notions de volontariat et d’engagement 🤝, les volontaires ont retroussé leurs manches, pour un grand ramassage de déchets ♻️.

👉 Pour rappel, la thématique de cette année était : Every contribution matters! Cette journée nous a rappelé que oui, chaque petite action 🌱, chaque initiative compte !

Un immense merci aux agences de volontariat avec lesquelles France Volontaires a travaillé pour organiser cette journée 🙏🎉

Et surtout, un grand merci à toutes et tous les volontaires pour votre engagement aujourd’hui… mais aussi pour votre engagement de chaque jour, au service des communautés 💪



[INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY]

Today, with the presence of around fifty volunteers from all corners of the world, we celebrated the International Volunteer Day 🌏 . After a morning of exchanges around the notions of volunteering and commitment 🤝, the volunteers rolled up their sleeves, for a big waste collection ♻️.

👉 As a reminder, this year’s theme was: Every contribution matters! This day reminded us that yes, every small action 🌱, every initiative counts.

A huge thank you to the six volunteer agencies with whom France Volontaires worked to organize this day 🙏🎉.

And above all, a big thank you to all the volunteers for your commitment today… and for your daily commitment in serving communities 💪

[Mission]

🌍🤝 Fin de mission pour la directrice France Volontaires Nouvelle-Calédonie en déplacement à Fidji.

Accueillie par notre VSI appui sur place, Blandine ANTONIETTI, Marjorie BOTELLA a pu rencontrer différents partenaires locaux afin d’échanger sur les projets passés, mais surtout sur ceux à venir ✨

Profitant de sa présence à Suva, Marjorie a également partagé un moment privilégié avec trois volontaires : Tristan FEJOZ, jeune Calédonien fraîchement arrivé en mission au sein du PIURN, Manoa Keteca, l’un des quatre premiers volontaires fidjiens à avoir effectué une mission de Service Civique en France, ainsi que Jiosifini KANAWALE, future volontaire, qui partira pour la France début janvier. 🇫🇷 🇫🇯

Ce déplacement souligne l’importance des coopérations dans le Pacifique 🌺. Nous sommes convaincus que le volontariat et la mobilité constituent des leviers précieux pour renforcer les liens et favoriser de nouvelles dynamiques régionales.

[Mission]

🌍🤝 End of mission for the Director of France Volontaires New Caledonia, during her visit to Fiji.
Welcomed by our VSI support on site, Blandine ANTONIETTI, Marjorie BOTELLA was able to meet with our local partners to reflect on past projects, and above all, to discuss those to come!

Taking advantage of her presence in Suva, Marjorie Botella also shared a special moment with three volunteers: Tristan FEJOZ a young New Caledonian freshly arrived on mission within PIURN; Manoa Keteca, one of the first four Fijian volunteers to have carried out a Service Civique mission in France; and Jiosifini KANAWALE, a future volunteer who will depart for France at the beginning of January 🇫🇷🇫🇯

This visit highlights the importance of cooperation in the Pacific 🌺. Volunteering and mobility are key drivers to strengthen ties and foster new regional dynamics.

🙏A heartfelt thank you to all our partners and everyone we met, for these moments of collaboration and enriching exchanges.

[MISSION]

🇹🇴 Retour de mission à Tonga pour notre VSI en appui à Fidji !
L’objectif de cette mission : observer et diagnostiquer l'état du volontariat dans le pays, en vue de relancer des missions sur place, notamment autour de l’apprentissage du français 📚✨
🤝 Ce fut également l’occasion de rencontrer deux représentants des quatre agences de volontariat internationales présentes à Tonga, Peace Corps Tonga et JICA - Japan International Cooperation Agency, et d’échanger sur les pratiques et visions du volontariat international.
🇫🇷 Partie au sein de la délégation française de Ambassade de France aux Fidji - France in Fiji, Blandine ANTONIETTI a aussi eu l’opportunité d’assister aux célébrations des 150 ans de la Constitution tongienne 🎉📜

Un événement marquant, riche en traditions et en découvertes culturelles 🌺

🇹🇴 Back from a mission in Tonga for our VSI supporting activities in Fiji!
The goal: to observe and assess the state of volunteering in the country, with a view to relaunching missions on the ground — particularly those focused on French language learning 📚✨
🤝 It was also an opportunity to meet two of the four volunteer agencies present in Tonga, Peace Corps Tonga and JICA and to exchange perspectives on international volunteering practices and visions.
🇫🇷 As part of the French delegation from the Embassy of France in Fiji, Blandine ANTONIETTI also had the opportunity to attend the celebrations marking 150 years of the Tongan Constitution 🎉📜

A memorable event, rich in tradition and cultural discovery! 🌺

Accueilli hier à Ambassade de France aux Fidji - France in Fiji par le chargé d’affaires a.i. Benjamin DELANNOY 🇫🇷, il s’apprête à entamer une mission d’un an aux côtés de Mathilde SOUCHON, coordinatrice du PIURN 🌺. (Réseau régional des universités des îles du Pacifique.)

Ce jeune Calédonien, passionné par sa région et conscient des enjeux du Pacifique, mettra toute son énergie et ses compétences au service du développement d’un réseau universitaire essentiel pour la région 🌏📚.

👏 Nous lui souhaitons une mission riche en découvertes, en rencontres et en impact !

This passionate young New Caledonian, deeply committed to his region and its challenges, will dedicate his energy and expertise to strengthening a vital university network across the Pacific 🌏📚.
