What is ADLI?

ADLI is a simple way to check how strong your organisation’s systems really are - not just if you have plans, but if they actually work.

🔹 A – Approach (What is your method?)

This is what you say you do.

Do you have a clear process or plan?
Is it documented or just in people’s heads?
Is it structured—or ad hoc?

👉 Example:
“We collect customer feedback through surveys.”

🔹 D – Deployment (Is it used everywhere?)

This checks if your approach is actually applied across the organisation.

Is it done consistently?
Do all departments follow it?
Or is it only happening in one area?

👉 Example:
Are all departments collecting customer feedback - or just one?

🔹 L – Learning (Are you improving it?)

This is where many organisations struggle.

Do you review what’s working?
Do you fix problems and improve the process?
Or do you just repeat the same thing every year?

👉 Example:
Are you analysing feedback and improving your service - or just collecting data?

🔹 I – Integration (Is everything connected?)

This is the highest level.

Is your approach linked to your strategy?
Are different parts of the organisation aligned?
Or are teams working in silos?

👉 Example:
Is customer feedback used to improve strategy, training, and operations?

🔻 Putting it all together

Many organisations:

Have an Approach ✔️
Some level of Deployment ✔️
But lack:
Learning ❌
Integration ❌

👉 That’s why results don’t improve.

🔥 Simple way to remember ADLI
Approach → We have a plan
Deployment → We use it
Learning → We improve it
Integration → Everything connects

🔑 Why ADLI matters

Because it moves organisations from:

Doing things randomly → to doing things systematically
Working in silos → to working as one system
Staying the same → to continuously improving

👉 This is how strong, high-performing organisations are built.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 2026 FBEA New Evaluators Training.

For the first three days, our new evaluators will be introduced to the FBEA Framework, Business Excellence principles, and the important role evaluators play in assessing organisational performance.

On 4 - 5 June, our existing and returning evaluators will join them at the Novotel Lami Convention Centre for further learning, sharing, and alignment.

This is where fresh perspectives meet experience - strengthening the evaluator community that supports the Fiji Business Excellence Awards Programme.

Excellence grows when people learn, share, assess, and improve together.
