FSMSSA Biennial Conference & Office Closures

The FSM Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) will be holding its Biennial Conference in Chuuk from August 25–29, 2025.

Please take note of the following office closures:

➡️ Yap Branch – Closed starting August 20, reopens September 5
➡️ Pohnpei & Kosrae Branches – Closed starting August 21, reopen September 2
➡️ Chuuk Branch – Closed starting August 22, reopen September 1

Early Benefit Release:
All August monthly benefits (checks & ACH) will be released starting August 11, 2025.

FSMSSA encourages all beneficiaries and the public to plan ahead as offices will be closed during the week of the conference.

The FSM Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) will be closed on Friday, May 9, 2025, in observance of FSM Constitution Day.

FSMSSA staff are reminded to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of FSMSSA properties before the long weekend.

FSM Social Security Administration to Postpone It's Biennial Conference

The Federated States of Micronesia Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) announces the postponement of its 2025 Biennial Conference, originally scheduled for April 21st to April 25th, 2025. The conference will now take place from August 11th to August 15th, 2025. This decision comes in response to certain unforeseen circumstances.

FSMSSA prioritizes the safety and well-being of all conference attendees and believes that rescheduling the event to a later date will provide a more stable and productive setting for discussions and collaboration.

Despite this postponement, FSMSSA will maintain its previously announced office closures on April 17th (Holy Thursday) and April 18th (Good Friday) in observance of these religious holidays.

Further details on the rescheduled conference, including venue and agenda updates, will be provided in the coming weeks. We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all participants and stakeholders.

FSMSSA Monthly Benefits Distribution & Office Closure Notice

The Federated States of Micronesia Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) would like to inform all beneficiaries that monthly benefits for March 2025 will be available for pickup on March 28, 2025.

Additionally, please be advised that FSMSSA Headquarters and all Branch Offices will be closed on March 31, 2025, in observance of FSM Cultural Day. Normal business operations will resume on April 1, 2025.

We appreciate your understanding and wish everyone a happy FSM Cultural Day!

The FSM Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) will be temporarily closed from April 17 – April 25, 2025, as we conduct our Biennial Conference in Chuuk.

FSM Social Security Administration (FSMSSA) is proud to host eight talented work-study students from the College of Micronesia (COM-FSM) at our Headquarters! Through the Work-Study Program, these students are gaining valuable hands-on experience, building essential workplace skills, and developing a deeper understanding of FSMSSA’s role in serving our nation.

This program not only provides students with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, but it also helps them develop real-world skills in administration, customer service, and financial operations. By engaging in meaningful tasks, these students are preparing for future careers while actively contributing to FSMSSA’s daily operations.

FSMSSA Joins Virtual Presentation on Retirement Planning with ASC Trust

FSMSSA participated in a virtual presentation led by Ayla Nimea, a representative from ASC Trust, the leading provider of retirement plan management services in Micronesia. Attending the session from FSMSSA were Tessie Bumanglag (Comptroller), Dwight Jossien (Accountant), and all Branch Managers.

Mrs. Nimea's presentation focused on the benefits of retirement planning with ASC Trust, emphasizing the various options available to subscribers and the importance of early planning for a secure financial future.
